As football fans flock to the Hexagon to support their national team during Euro 2016, some will have match tickets, and others will be looking for a local dive bar to enjoy watching the match from the streets. One thing is certain— each enthusiast will be looking for the best place to eat, drink and party during their stay.

Where to Eat

Home Sweet Home: One of the only bars that closes late, Home Sweet Home is perfect for a happy hour drink or food after the match. Carole L. “There’s a wide choice of cocktails, great food and top bartenders. Le Garage: With its old school decoration, Le Garage is a good place to go to before the match! According to Pierre-Alexis P, “There are as many choices on the menu as there are oil cans displayed on the wall”.1 rue du Dôme, 92100 Boulogne-Billancourt, station Porte de Saint-Cloud (ligne 9)

Casa Murat: Salomé P. describes Casa Murat as the “great neighborhood pizza joint, with friendly staff and delicious food.” 46 bd Murat, 75016 Paris, 16ème, station Exelmans (ligne 9)

Where to Drink

The Bombardier: This irish pub is, according to Yelp user Nicolas L, “a great place for an evening with friends, with more than 10 different beers and TV screens to watch the football matches” ! 2 place du Panthéon, 75005 Paris, 5ème, station Cardinal Lemoine (ligne 10)

Auld Alliance Pub: Located in the center of Paris, this pub is perfect for watching sports events, and Natacha Y recommends you to go there for the “happy hours from 7PM to 8PM”. 80 rue François Miron, 75004 Paris, Marais, 4ème, station Saint-Paul (ligne 1)

L’Express de Lyon: For Karim D, this “former dive bar has an excellent choice of craft beers and is beer geek heaven ! Two screens are on display to watch the matches”. 1 rue Lyon, 75012 Paris, Bercy, 12ème, station Gare de Lyon (ligne 1, 14)

Where to Eat

Sakana: Less than 10 min by foot from the stadium, Sakana is a great sushi restaurant with unlimited quantity at good prices. Take a seat in front of the conveyor belt and choose your plate of sushis/makis and other japanese recipes.

According to Audrey V. “For 16 euros you get an all-you-can-eat buffet of appetizers and desserts, and once you’re seated in front of the turning bar, it’s off to the races. Have fun! I highly recommend this place, the service is top notch.”

Bocca a Bocca: One of the Yelpers’ favorite italian restaurants. You’ll need to take the tramway to get there but it’s less than 10 minutes away. You’ll enjoy a cosy restaurant with a delicious menu of mash potatoes, tomato compote, pasta, italian ham, mozzarella di Buffala… And don’t forget to try their homemade desserts. According to Hélène P. “This is a restaurant that I highly recommend! Food is good and fresh, and they serve generous portions.”

Rest’O: It’s the perfect vegetarian alternative with a diverse menu for all budgets. Again, it’s a 10min tramway ride away, but you won’t regret the trip.

According to Elodie L. “It’s a vegan and vegetarian restaurant, with low prices when compared to the quality of the meal.”

Where to Drink

Molly Malone’s: An Irish pub located on the Chartrons Quays with a highly friendly staff. The Molly Malone’s is the perfect place to watch sports on TV while munching on their tasty burgers and drinking a pint of beer.

According to Alexandre B., “this Irish pub is great. Good portions and inexpensive! Burger, beef or fish & chips, there’s something for every taste and it’s always good.”

The Market Tavern: The Market Tavern is a spacious venue with comfortable sofas and chairs, able to welcome groups of people inside the bar and on their terrace. They have beers, cocktails & wine on their drink menu. Lot of choice as well for food (burgers, fish&chips, salads, dessert). And TVs to follow the matches, of course!!

According to Marilou P. “The dishes are diverse, from fish and chips to leg of lamb & potatoes, in addition to beautiful summer salads . The brunch is not bad at all. Food feels homemade, and it’s really good.”

The Connemara: This Irish pub is one of the most famous pub in Bordeaux, one of the biggest and most packed one during match days. The rowdy atmosphere there is unparalleled with a free flow of Irish beers, and if you’re lucky, you’ll be able to order their tapas and Irish food on the menu.

Anna G. recommends it: “A friendly atmosphere especially because I came across a concert of traditional Irish music. It’s a real plus compared to other Irish pubs I know. This made me nostalgic of the concerts I attended in Dublin! So I really felt like I was in Ireland.”

Where to Eat

Moe’s Burger: A really cool location for any burger-love ! Original recipes include typical south western ingredients. Great address to eat quickly a delicious yummy burger close to the stadium. Flor T says that nothing compares to those homemade burgers with fresh meat.

According Melia L. “They make an especially good burger, with homemade buns. The fries are delicious, crunchy and melting in your mouth at the same time. The menu is quite diverse, prices are correct for homemade-style food. I invite you to discover fast food that combines quality and pleasure.”

Le Mauricia: Ever wondered how mauritian cuisine taste like ? Eating at Le Mauricia is the best way to discover it : exotic cuisine at a very reasonable price. Yelpers recommend the ginger shark and the mango duck.

According to Jerome I. “Total change of scenery GUARANTEED !!! Mauritian atmosphere guaranteed… when entering one is immediately transported to Mauritius and when you go out you find yourself in Toulouse as if you had traveled in the space of a second. The food is just EXCELLENT, everything is fresh, and the portions are generous. A real delight.”

La Plage: Which means “The beach” in French, is an oasis of peace and quiet just a few streets away from the energy of the stadium. Typical Toulousan food, a great decor and delicious tapas. For Nadège L it’s “the perfect place to drink a Mojito on a warm summer night”.

Where to Drink

Haka Corner: A real paradise for any sports aficionado: they broadcast every game possible, in a great festive atmosphere. Great beer and food bites. Don’t hesitate to approach the owner, it’s rugby superstar Byron Kelleher. According to Chrystelle G. “The atmosphere outside is great, with large wooden tables for groups, and TV screens on all sides. ”

Bar Basque: The most famous bar in Toulouse to watch sports games. It’s a huge bar where you can watch the game in a super festive and joyful atmosphere. Fantastic beer menu too! Jojo loves it because “In the summer, the big terrace allows you to enjoy the sun, and the giant screens for game nights”.

Chez Tonton: Have you ever tried Pastis ? It’s the local drink by excellence. An anise drink that people adore here. At Tonton you’ll get to drink it by the meter (litterally) and enjoy watching football!

Friterie Pic Nic: “A great spot for french fries” says Yelper Arnaud-Mehdi. Pic Nic is perfect for a quick snack before or after the game.

Istanbul Palace: Guillaume O loves this kebab place with “a nice setting, super fresh ingredients and quality service”. Well know in Villeneuve d’Ascq, it’s a must try!
Soho Urban Food: Spacious restaurant with lots of food options located right next to the stadium, ideal for an easy and comforting meal!

Where to Drink

Irish Time: The Irish Pub is perfect for a game night, with great atmosphere, and yummy burgers.
According to William O. “Everyone is really friendly and the service is impeccable; the employees take the time to explain the menu in detail and patiently propose dishes and drinks. ”

La Régie: Amélie particularly enjoys this place for the “cocktails, beers, nice and super quick staff”, and since this bar is so close to the Stade Pierre Mauroy, you’ll see to feel the excitement of the match in the air.

Beers et Co: A casual brasserie facing the Pierre Mauroy stadium with a great view and delicious northern specialties. Elise K. summed up the experience in one sentence, “In short, a good restaurant with a wide selection of dishes that will satisfy everyone.”

Oh Sapristi: Amandine B recommends this pizzeria for its homemade pizzas. A “generous menu, generous meals and affordable prices”, it’s the perfect combo!

Kokeshi: For Kevin, this place is “Just Waw”. Super cool japanese restaurant, perfect for a quick snack.

Le Césarine: Featuring Northern French specialties, Le Césarine offers comfort food that hits the spot any time of day. According to Kevin S. “Welch chorizo ​​: Just yummy! Welch classic but with a little spicy, if you know what I mean. ”

Where to Drink

Irish Tavern: Very cool Irish bar, with a nice selection of inexpensive beers and nice irish coffee. Arnaud C shares this tip: “The little advice I would offer you is to go with Nico (the bartender) who can brew up wonderful Irish coffee or pour shooters that are worth the detour. Take it from someone in the know.”

Mac Ewan’s: Very big pub with an amazing choice of beers and cocktails even. There’s good music and it’s a great atmosphere to watch a game. According to Paul N. “When we want a drink in a pub in Lens, we go to McEwan’s, and that’s all. Large selection of beers, English pub atmosphere and decorations, good music.”

L’Étiquette: Charming wine bar with a smooth, classy mood. Paul N. shares his appreciation: “Here you can taste fine wines or whiskey with tips from the very friendly owner, and eat delicious plates of cold meats and homemade desserts (chocolate pear tart is a must). ”

Where to Eat

La mère Jean: This “bouchon”, a restaurant that serves traditional Lyonnaise cuisine, is located 200 meters from the fan-zone Place Bellecour. A great opportunity to discover the cuisine of Lyon without having to travel far across the city according to Raphaelle B: “La Mère Jean is a tiny restaurant, but recognized as sure value for tradition Lyon cuisine. ”

Notre Maison: You want to discover the REAL cuisine of Lyon at low prices? Come here quickly and taste their “pied de porc”, you’ll love it! According to Mr. Farah , “The menu is sparse but for me it is usually a guarantee of quality. The food is very good ; I love the pig roll in wine sauce and a piece of praline pie. I really enjoyed myself and my friends too! ”

Le Musée: If you want to learn more about the history of Lyon in addition to tasting its regional cuisine, go to Le Musée. At the end of the meal, the manager will wow you with his storytelling about the “City of Lights” says Hélène D: “At the end of our meal, the owner gathers us around the traboule adjacent to the restaurant, and for almost 20 minutes, proceeds to deliver a history lesson on the city Lyon.”

Where to Drink

Le Flanigan’s: The atmosphere is friendly, the servers all speak English and they broadcast all football matches, as explained Sylvain S: “The waiters all speak English — they are foreign students if I am not mistaken. As you guessed it, beer and nachos are the hallmarks of a great night at Flanigan’s.”

The Kelly’s: Two words… giant screen! Damien D also stresses: “On game nights, the bar is in full swing. Each time I have outsider friends visiting Lyon, this is the address that I bring them to discover.

Le Pub Danois: There are 6 TV screens during match night. Enough said. Audrey G adds: “The beer is at a fair price, the bar staff are pleasant, smiling and there is a bouncer at night, which is reassuring.”

Where to Eat

Pipo: One of the most interesting spot in Nice is Pipo. This restaurant is located near the harbor.
It’s the place to eat “socca”. What is it ? This culinary speciality is prepared with flour of chickpea, insanely good ! This speciality is necessarily served with a glass of wine. It’s time enjoy the sun. Christine C. dreams about it: ” I love it! The socca is awfully good, and the pissaladière is not far behind. Ideal for happy hours with a glass of rosé. Get there early because there is often a waiting line, as this is a very famous address.”

Lu Fran Calin: The tourist’s favourite adress in the heart of the old town, place rossetti !
This cosy restaurant offers copious and tasty dishes with an excellent value of money.
The team Lu Fran Calin is very welcoming. You will have a wonderful time here. According to Jean-Luc F. “This restaurant is good and hearty, and the shared tasting plate is a good introduction. The dishes are as generous as the welcome is friendly . I recommend it even thought it remains a tourist attraction as it’s always nice to go eat there. ”

Acchiardo: In this familial establishment with a rustic atmosphere, you can taste local (e.g. “farçis”, “daube”…) and italian food at an attractive price. I recommend the “tiramisu” homemade… the best of the French Riviera. Marine G recommends it, “Great service, home cooking and fresh produce. Ideal for discovering the specialties of Nice. ”

Where to Drink

Ma Nolan’s: An Irish pub with a warm atmosphere to meet people. Ma Nolan’s is perfect for groups (big tables). Take a seat inside or outside but the terrace is often full! Also, the staff speaks English. A must according to Marion R : “The ideal place for a beer, with live music for you to enjoy a good time. ”

Au fût et à Mesure: This industrial-style bar offers an original concept using RFID technology: each table is equipped with a beer tap, and you fill your own glass with a touchscreen. You receive a RFID card when you enter, and this automatically tracks your consumption. If you’re hungry, we advise ordering any of the pork products or cheese. Charlotte R loves the concept: “Super cool concept where you pre-pay with a magnetic card, and then self-serve drinks at your table with great products and great beers.”

Mr Caramel: Visit this pub for delicious burgers and good wines. With a huge selection, you’ll have plenty of choices, and the prices are reasonable. My favorite dish : pizza with ham truffle, yummy! Marlene R is one satisfied customer: “Burgers and beef tartar are very good! Very friendly waiters! Nice decor, warm and inviting. A beautiful place to remember! ”

Where to Eat or Drink in Marseille

OM Café: The official bar of the OM home team. This is THE place to be on game nights! Luke D describes the place as:” Very good brew. Impeccable service. Very pleasant evenings. ”

The Shamrock: The Shamrock is one of the most famous bars in the Old Port . Alexis V. confirms: “Beers are huge and the atmosphere is great!”

Little Temple Bar: Little Temple Bar is a true Irish bar where you can watch sports matches, drink beer and play pool during halftime! According to Alex S: “Great pub located in the Old Port with billiards, table football, pretty cool music and not so expensive ! In short, everything you need to spend a good evening with friends!”

SAINT-ÉTIENNE – Stade Geoffroy-Guichard

Where to Eat

Good Dog’s: Mailys D has tested this restaurant several times and approves: ” The long tables inside and sofa area outside add a friendly atmosphere to the place. The menu choice is quite wide with simple products that each seem to contain an original twist. ”

La Platine: A modern bar near the Cité du Design. Milie S approves, “The service is super efficient and the in each dish, the flavours are there! I tasted a dish of simple appearance , that was well garnished, with a surprisingly savory taste (beef tajine with a vegetable sauce and arugula blank).”

Chez Marinette: A great spot for ice-cream in the summer! Alexandra D recommends this spot: “The welcome and service are great: fast, efficient, friendly , eventually you melt into the plush velvet armchairs. On the menu, there are two must-orders according to season: in winter, the Weiss hot chocolate, and during the summer, different scoops of ice cream like the famous “Go Greens”.

The Soggy Bottom: For Elisabeth S, it’s a must : “Located in the city center, with a wide selection of draft beer and very affordable bottles. It includes, among others, the Glutte (local beer brewed à la houblonnerie). Free billiards , broadcasts of the football matches , music concerts, happy hour every evening from 7pm to 8pm. Trying out the Soggy Bottom will convert you, turning this bar into your headquarters for all great evenings out.”

The Smoking Dog: Cosy with a distinct British flavour, this is one of the best spots to watch football games with a warm English atmosphere. According to Mathilde B: “A real traditional pub, well decorated, with a large library where you can draw a book when you’re alone, and a large bar to gather around with friends and enjoy a wide choice of draft beers. Very welcoming.”
