As part of our goal to make life easier for bus travelers, we contact travelers who’ve had firsthand experiences around the world. Today, we’re happy to feature Kristen Sarah from Hopscotch the Globe. Her and her husband Siya are full-time adventurers, videographers, YouTubers and above all, travel experts!
My name is Kristen Sarah, and I am a travel content creator. I’ve been travelling the world pretty non-stop for the past 13-years. About 8 years ago, I started HopscotchTheGlobe.com, which is a travel blog I run with my husband Siya that not only inspires travel but teaches you how to do it no matter your lifestyle or budget. Siya and I also have one of the top travel and lifestyle YouTube channels where we share weekly content from our travels, share tips, advice and travel hacks plus a look into our life living in a renovated vintage Airstream.
Using Busbud, I travelled solo from Salinas to San Francisco, California. I’ve always dreamed of visiting San Francisco since I was child and was obsessed with Full House. I spent a few days walking around the city centre, driving up to the Golden Gate Bridge and walking through the Red Wood Forest. It was a wonderful, relaxing ad magical short trip.
My highlight from the trip was definitely spending time in Muir Woods National Park. I am obsessed with nature, and have always wanted to spend time with the Red Woods. I finally got to do it, and it was everything I dreamed it would be and more. Those giant beauties are a natural wonder for sure.
New York City, Finger Lakes, which is a region in the state of New York and Venice Beach in California!
Using sites like Busbud make travel much easier and affordable. The last thing you want is to be stressed out planning your trip because then you won’t enjoy it as much. Having services like Busbud take away that unnecessary worry or stress and make trip-planning pain free.
I purchased Salinas to San Francisco.
My experience using Busbud was quick and easy. It took me a whole 5 minutes to go online, find my route and book my very affordable ticket. Then I just had to make my way to the station, pick up my tickets, wait for the bus and jump on. The fact that there was a toilet on board made me so comfortable! Being pregnant and travelling can be a nightmare, but I felt very comfortable for my 4-hour journey.
What would be great is a feature that notifies the customer when their bus is late. I had to wait an additional 1.5 hours for my bus, so this is something that could have been very helpful!
