Welcome White Star Capital to the Busbud family

Busbud is pleased to announce it has raised capital from White Star VC, a venture capital firm based in New York.

White Star Capital invests in early-stage companies to help them scale internationally. White Star invests across North America, Western Europe and other selective markets and helps to grow businesses in the social, mobile and e-commerce space. Read more about what White Star believes in.

This additional capital complements the $1M round closed earlier in May 2013. White Star joins a great team of investors co-led by iNovia Capital and Real Ventures, as well as angel Joe Poulin (Luxury Retreats) and Peter Kern (Expedia).

Busbud is particularly pleased to work with an all-star team led by managing partners Eric Martineau-Fortin and Christian Hernandez Gallardo, who have deep operational experience at companies like Google and Facebook, solid knowledge of the travel industry, and an outstanding understanding of scaling international businesses.

Welcome to the family, Eric and Christian!
