After successfully launching the Busbud Android app at the start of the summer, we’re now proud to announce the launch of our new Busbud wearable apps! Available for both the Apple Watch and Android Wear, you can now have a complete digital experience with Busbud.
The Busbud wearable apps let you:
The Busbud wearable apps were initially a project led by two groups of Busbud developers during our annual hackathon event. After having created a neat functioning app in a two-day span, our developers continued to polish the apps for real-world use.
Here’s what the Android Wear team lead had to say about the challenge:
“Usually during a hackathon you build an internal tool in a three or four day span. Our challenge this time around was unique as we were building something for our actual users instead of for internal use. After two days, we had a nice product that we were able to present and demo, but it wasn’t ready to hit the market just yet. Since then, we’ve improved on the first iteration by going through numerous rounds of testing, and I believe we’ve delivered a truly smooth user experience that will be useful for our loyal Busbud travelers. We’re excited to finally ship this out in the world!”
On the Apple Watch front, the team’s lead had this to say: “We’re really excited to have launched the first bus booking watch app in the world. It’s a simple, beautiful design that’ll make your travel experience that much less complicated.”
“Our mission is to make bus travel easier and we’re striving to do so by constantly innovating in the industry, whether through offering the best choice for our users, a faster booking process or by offering excellent support to travelers in need.”
Busbud makes it easy to find and book the perfect bus trip online. Busbud is the only worldwide bus travel booking website, offering more than one million departures each week across 1,500 operators worldwide. Learn more and book your next trip at www.busbud.com
