Halloween on a budget: How students can reach the most spooktacular events for less

NYC

It’s the perfect way to embrace Halloween in the city that never sleeps—especially on October 31st! For those wanting to check out the frightfully fun night of NYC’s famous Village Halloween parade can take the bus from all over upstate NY and tri-state region for as low as $20 on Busbud.

Celebrate Halloween in Boston with tales of the macabre on the Ghosts & Gravestones trolley tour, where you’ll hear about the infamous Boston Strangler and other sinister events in the city’s past. Students from the University of Vermont, Dartmouth, and Brown University can explore the crypt at the historic Old North Church and discover colonial death practices—an experience both creepy and intriguing for history buffs.
