Omnibus Project: Q4 2019 Results

In April 2017, we launched our diversity initiative, the Omnibus Project, to promote diversity at Busbud and beyond. Every quarter, our team carries out up to 5 actions to help foster diversity and sustainability and reports publicly on our progress.

We are thrilled to share the results for Q4 2019, ending December 31st. For this edition, in the last quarter of the year leading up to the Christmas holidays, our team members wanted to focus their efforts on giving back to less-privileged members of our Montreal community. Here are our actions:

1) SunYouth Gift Drive

Renata and Richard from our team led the SunYouth children’s gift drive. We collected 100 new Christmas gifts for Montreal children ages 3-12. We love the rewarding feeling of doing something nice for others. In this case, giving to underprivileged children is that much more rewarding. A big thank you to everyone at Busbud and especially LP for stepping up and matching the total Busbud gift donations.

2) Serving lunch at Montreal’s Old Brewery Mission

A team of eight from Busbud spent their Saturday on January 4th serving lunch at the Old Brewery Mission. The Old Brewery Mission works with Montreal’s homeless men and women, meeting their essential needs while finding practical and sustainable solutions to end chronic homelessness.

Serving lunch was a great way for Busbud to give back to the community. After lunch was finished, several members of the team commented on how fun and rewarding the whole experience was!

A thank you to Busbud management for giving the OK to make a small donation on top of the entire volunteering experience!
