Trans Salvador User Reviews
Trans Salvador receives praise for its comfortable chairs and helpful staff, making long journeys more pleasant. The buses generally run on time with smooth border formalities. However, some users noted the need to pay a terminal tax separately and suggested improvements in onboard amenities like cleanliness of toilets and minimizing food odors during trips.
The journey from Cusco to La Paz generally worked out according to plan. The bus nearly ran on time. It was reasonably comfortable and I managed to sleep onboard. The border formalities were handled in an orderly manner. The only thing was that the 5 soles bus terminal tax was not included in the ticket price. It needed to be paid upfront by cash. The onboard toilet was a bit disgusting after many hours of use, with no running water or hand wash.

Seats ok, though meant for taller people than I am, so headrest uncomfortable. No frills, such as a blanket or a bottle of water. Admire the drivers - very long journey. Smelly food should NOT be allowed in the coach. Someone who came in at Puno brought raw onion, and it was unpleasant for a very long time. Also, people who want to listen to something should bring headphones and not inflict their choice on everyone.

Review of a Bus Tour This was, without a doubt, the worst bus trip I have ever experienced. The tour bus was in a terrible state of disrepair, and it completely ruined the journey. To start, the air conditioning and heating system was broken. When we departed, the temperature inside the bus was close to 0°C, and everyone was shivering uncontrollably. Later in the day, the temperature rose to nearly 30°C, making the bus feel like an oven. The onboard toilet was also out of order, which was incredibly inconvenient. Additionally, the bus was not sealed properly, allowing a constant stream of dust to enter through the cracks. The entire cabin was covered in a thick layer of dust, which was both unpleasant and unhygienic. Given the appalling conditions, this trip was a complete disaster and not worth the money. The state of the bus was so poor that I feel like I should be compensated for the experience. I would strongly advise against booking this tour.

It was awful. We booked a week in advance only to get a WhatsApp 7hours before the bus departure saying the bus was not leaving San Pedro but instead Calama. This left us with no option but to pay 100,000 Chilean pesos for a taxi. Not good enough!

Very abrupt staff. No information given to us and staff clearly agitated with us. Furthermore, bus stopped at Calama when we had bought tickets to bring us to San Pedro. The bus driver did not attempt to inform us they were not driving further nor did they try to help. If it wasn’t for a local woman, we would have been stuck for hours in the station. Very unprofessional to not communicate with the customers

Bus was canceled the day before. The lady that messaged us was very nice and helpful though.
