I found buses and their timetables totally useless. No co-ordination. Had to get a taxi to the airport. When I arrived no buses matched and travelling between towns was a nightmare. Example: My flight leaves at 9pm tonight but I had leave Novigrad at 10.35 only bus. Then I tried to leave from Porec at 3 but only bus was at 8.30.

I had a meeting in Rovinj that afternoon that I was late for because the bus was more than 40 minutes late arriving at Zagreb. None of the staff at the bus station gave us any information about why the bus was late and did not keep us updated.
