we anticipated late running due to train strikes and congestion . Driver used initiative at Heathrow, not to try and get to T2/3, informing passengers they’d be more likely to catch their flights getting off at T5 and getting tube back to T2/3. Good thinking!
The bus was late so we waited in the waiting room as it was a cold day. The screen showed it was due we gathered our cases and bags rushed out only to see the bus depart. It had not waited the waiting room is approx 250 yards from the bus stop. We ran waved out arms but it carried on.We ended u getting g a taxi as if we had waited for the next bus which was again late we would not have arrived at the airport in time for our flight.
The bus was overbooked. I was only allowed to board because one person disembarked at High Wycombe and I was only one passenger. Another couple was turned turned away. Could have been disastrous if that resulted in them missing their flight.
Friendly driver, clean bus. But the wi-fi did not work, the A/C was cranked up so high that the trip was freezing cold, and it was actually warmer outside. Lastly the bus arrived at Gatwick on time, but the methodologies of loading bags and then people caused a 10 minute delay in departure and a 20 minutes delay arriving. The timetable at the bus stop at Gatwick was also outdated, so foreigners like me were confused. All in all, not great
The service was really excellent, staff were great, there was a delay due to a major incident on the motorway which is perfectly understandable however there were no updates at all on the live boards etc at the High Wycombe bus station , this would have been so much better
