Houston Downtown Greyhound station is the main intercity bus station in Houston, Texas. It is located downtown at 2121 Main Street, between Gray and Webster Streets.
How to get to Greyhound Houston Station
As the station is in a very central area, it's easy to access it by public transportation. You'll find plenty of bus stops in the area. You can also get there by light rail, as the red line stops just a few blocks from the station at Downtown Transit Center (PJXH+WQ Central Business District, Houston, TX).
If you're driving, the station is very close to Gulf Freeway, so it is easy to get to it by car, and there are a good number of parking lots around the area.
Safety at the station
Travelers reported security issues at this station. So if you can choose to board the bus or get off at a different place, we recommend you go with the alternative, especially if you're traveling at night or alone.
According to reviews, even though the station has security guards, homelessness is a problem in the area, which might not be helpful for the sense of security. So if you're traveling around here, it might be best to keep a close eye on your belongings and be extra safe.

The station has a ticket office, waiting room, bathrooms, vending machines, benches in the waiting area and power sockets. WiFi is also available, although travelers report it doesn't always work.
You can buy snacks inside the station, as it has a small convenience store. You can also find bending machines selling drinks and snacks. Across from the station, you'll find burger places, a McDonald's, cafes and other small food vendors.
The station has two public bathrooms, one for men and one for women. However, travelers seem to be unanimous when they say the bathrooms are not well maintained. So if you need to use them, it might be best to wait for the bus or go to a nearby cafe or restaurant.

Close to the station, you'll find a lot of restaurants, cafes and bars, as well as some hotels in case you need to stay overnight. The light rail station is just a few blocks from here, and you'll find plenty of city bus stops in the area.
