The chairs are too close together, I am a small person but when the chair in front was back my legs were squashed and I could not move, not ideal for 17 hours.
Very comfortable seats, but late to leave Ica and then no communication to explain why we have kept stopping along the road towards Cusco. Still travelling 21 hours after leaving Ica.
Everything was really good. The only thing was with so many people in the bus (this is normal) during the night a ceiling window was covered with water drops due to high moisture. These drops would fall on me every few minutes making it impossible to sleep. Luckily I had my rain jacket with me and after a bit of struggling, I made it into a position where these drops would fall on the jacket. Besides that it was good.
There was no vegetarian meal even though I selected that when booking, the bus was late, a movie played super loud until 1am and then everyone was woken up at 7am (not enough time to sleep). Overall not a terrific experience.
This was completely different than my last experience with Superciva. The bus was much more luxurious, no loud music, comfortable seats (3 across), clean bathroom, and light snack suitable for vegetarians. Had there been wifi, it would have been perfect.
The bus itself was actually nice, though the WiFi didn’t work (pretty standard though). The bus staff were pleasant but they told us immigration into Peru would be at 2.30am and we’d arrive around 7am into mancora. However immigration was 12.30am and we arrived at 4am. My hostel doesn’t open its doors until 8am and so I was left stranded in an unsafe place at night. The bus needs to make sure it’s on time or either update the timings so people can choose the most appropriate bus!
We had the chairs in the back. One off the chairs in the back, the seat was a bit broken and they couldn’t go as far back as the rest. But the staff was nice and we could switch to other seats.
No wifi, no food or drinks, bad service of office personal, non existent service of bus personal. Customer service over the phone is very bad and not assisting.
The timetable said that the bus would arrive in Piura at 12pm the next day when in fact it arrived six hours earlier at around 6.30 am. This was very confusing as I would have preferred to go onto Cusco by air on that day rather than staying in such a horrible city like Piura.
Seats were good and food was adequate. Unfortunately the bus hit the border in the early morning which disrupted sleep. Worse, for some reason we were moved onto another bus coming from South Peru this meant waiting for an hour while all the bags were moved over. This meant sleep was pretty disrupted (kinda defeating the point of a night bus).
The journey only took about 8 hours all in which is good but getting into Mancora just before 0600 isn’t quite optimal. Midday as advertised would have been preferable. So I am dissatisfied though the bus and entertainment was fine.
Horrendous. At 3am they got everyone off the bus to change buses and luggage, everyone was extremely tired and Angry. It was my first experience of a night bus and I was appalled.
It was the horrible time for me! They gave me a spoiled food, didn’t change it, wasn’t able to speak English and had no WiFi during all trip!!! I would never choose superciva again
The bus and the staff were great it was actually nicer than the Exclusiva I had a couple of days before but again no WiFi which is not good and rather than the 10p.m advertised didn't arrive until 11:30. The Mancora office was also closed until 11 so had to sit on the roadside which wasn't good
Bus was 4 and a half hours late which meant we missed a tour in Cuzco we had booked in advance. We also didn’t receive dinner on the bus because it was so late.
Busbud is a bus search tool - we include Superciva routes, schedules and prices in our searches along with many other bus companies. You can compare prices, amenities and times by searching for a route. If you find a suitable trip, you can go ahead and get your Superciva ticket from us. Note that buses sell out, Superciva and other operators generally charge a lot more for last minute tickets or for tickets bought in person.
