Bus drivers are more than excellent drivers un difficultés situations on thé road. Total respect for thème.
first bus was cramped (no leg room )dirty, the second bus had more leg room but the seat back was broken and would flop all the way back every time the bus took off.
It was our first experience on an overnight bus. We found it very comfortable and entirely pleasant. We are traveling by plane today, and my wife is asking why we’re not taking a bus!
The seats didn’t recline very far but we got a hot meal (which we didn’t know about beforehand) and a film. This was good but both happened gone 11pm when we wanted to sleep... no wifi!
The bus was very comfortable but only one cup of tea or coffee was available even though hot and cold water was available no cups or tea bags were. If we had known about the hot water we would have brought our own, we did ask but were told no. Also we forgot our fleece left them in our luggage the aircon was so cold we had to wrap the blanket round us for the whole trip then step out into 35 degrees, not good.
The bus is a bit run down, there was no staff that spoke English, we could live with that, but we felt ignored. Other customers on the bus received Drinks and more snacks. The menu given had champagne and whiskies (we do not drink whiskey) but a glass of wine would have been better than only a Maschine we could get cleaned water from.
Enjoyed the journey with Rio Uruguay, food was good considering we are vegetarians so we just took out the meat. It was not the bus's fault that we arrived late as we were stopped many times by the police. The lady working on the bus was not very friendly. I did not understand what she was saying and she refused to let me use the toilet twice by shouting at me.
The only positive is the ability to recline the seat so it’s almost flat (in ‘VIP’ class). On request they provided one small bottle of water for what ended up being a 19 hour journey. The food was meagre and there was no vegetarian option (and no obvious way of requesting it in advance).
This is the way to travel !! Scania double decker..take the executive option, the seat folds down to a real bed, with cushion, blanket and good curtains, perfect for 8pm Posadas to 8 am at BA .Very good 'in-flight' service, nice food and drink, modern video screen, freeNetflix, no wifi or chargers. The bus was worn, but very clean and everything works, the air conditioning is really impressive and controllable. Enjoy..
The female attendant at the beginning was quite rude and arrogant - she was generally unhelpful during the trip as well and seemed annoyed every time she was asked a question.
The bus broke down and we had to wait for round two hours. We shifted to another bus, which then also broke down and we had to swap to another bus. The last two buses did not have the VIP seating I had paid for and we arrived at our destination around 4 hours late - which resulted in me losing a day to visit iguazu falls, effectively ruining my trip to that location.
The bus was very dirty and uncomfortable. The air conditional did not work, instead we had heating whereas it was 30 degrees outside! Moreover, our registered bags were wet. Worst company in 7 months in South America!
Everything would have been lovely, a cama suite bed etc and a some nice dinner. But it rained heavily and somehow the bus leaked all over the place including under my seat, right where my bag was being kept. So my day pack was soaking wet, as was everything inthe lower part ofthe bag. I also then had to carry a wet dirty bus floor covered rucksack on my front to my next destination. The staff didnt seem to care about my belongings but were more worried about mopping the floor which was wet anyway. I thought a bit of help in cleaning off my stuff or even a simple apology would have been nice.
Friendly staff over 18 hr trip. Run became a bit of a milk run over last three hours. Was transferred over to a second bus late in trip due to heavy condensation drips from air conditioning.
The hot meal indluded was a cold sandwich and even though there was a stewardess the toilet wasnt clean or had any paper, but those are the only minus.
very nice way to travel in Argentina
One thing was not ok, the man that placed the luggage in the bus was asking for $$ for his service and was rude that he did not get a cent . if he dos not ask I was planning to give a tip anyway .
My trip with Rio Uruguay was a dream. The seats are very comfortable and big and the hit meal and breakfast were really good. The service was unbelievably friendly. It was so much better than the service during a flight. I would recommend to everyone to choose Rio Uruguay for future bus journeys. I will ride with them again.
Had to change buses three times without explanation. People were getting on and off the bus seemingly randomly- not good for security. Toilet was disgusting.
