It seems that the bus is late regularly on this route, which is good in principle. But the tickets state to be early at the bus stop by 20 Minutes, which made me wait for the bus for one hour. Also at PUQ there is no possibility to reach Bus SUR staff or get information on bus timelines. Altogether this made me quite worried if my bus would come at all... and most busses were fully booked that day, so no chance to simply take another later connection...
Lovely staff! Very safety oriented - insisted on seatbelts... that was a first! They also collected trash and arranged bus in an orderly fashion before arrival. Very clean. And when there were lots of sheep in the road, they escorted some tourists outside to get some photos. No USB ports.
My departure time was 2:00 pm. I would like to take a bus to departure at 12:46 pm. So l asked the counter to change the ticket. She was willing to change with smile. It was good memory in Punta Arenas. Thanks for Bur Sur.
Excellent bus service - we were picked up at the Puntas Arenas airport and travelled to Puerto Natales. A little bit confusing about the departure time - I believe the bus leaves the downtown station in Puntas Arenas before traveling to the Puntas Arenas airport. The listed departure time likely refects the departure from Puntas Arenas downtown station (and not the airport)
It would be helpful to customers boarding at the airport to know what time the bus would be arriving - three of us all believed our bus would arrive at the airport at 1501 but that is the time it leaves Punta Arenas, not the time it arrives at the airport. Otherwise, good service.
When I wrote email to ask if I can use the ticket for later timing due to flight delay, the office staff confirmed no problem. I almost cannot get on the later timing bus cause I have missed my the timing due to my flight delayed for 4 hours! I have to beg the driver to take me and I was going to pay him the full fare as my original ticket that I bought online has lapsed.
Waited a very long time, bus was late. Then there had to be people standing since there were not enough seats. Seems as though the bus was so late that it overlapped with the next one, so there was extra people. Not good to have someone standing
The staff at the agency in Punta Arenas and the staff in the bus was really depleasant, rude and unprofessional! When we were asking for services (Seat change for instance), the staff made all his effort for not making it possible! They though we didn't speak Spanish and they were speaking bad on us (calling us "gringos"!).
The ride was great, on time, comfortable. The only negative thing was that when booking, we gave departure from airport but the times were for Punta Arenas departure. We had to wait 30more minutes, but it was anyway the only bus we could take at 12-13h.
The bus was too hot. We waited for an extra 19 minutes with no indication if we were waiting in the right spot. I don’t mind the wait as the ticket did indicate that we should expect to waitb15-30 minutes but it would have been nice if there was a sign for the bus stop.
