The buses themselves were just okay. On the first bus my reading light was out. These buses are not up to the standard of other countries, for example, Mexico.The bus station in Barcelona was not a proper station. I use a cane. I arrived at Sants train station. There were no signs in the train station pointing to the bus station. My wife and I asked several official-looking people for directions. (I speak and understand Spanish.) Most of them looked glassy-eyed, and said they had no idea It took us about a half until someone told us it was across the street. However, it has no signs designating it as such. It turned out be just a series of slabs with a couple trailers as offices and dirty port a potties. In the second trailer I finally found a place to sit. When we arrived in Genova for our connecting bus to Florence, no bus station there either. Just a filthy curb. Luckily we found the second bus which worse than the first one. The toilet was so filthy I could hardly use it. The worst part was when we arrive in "Florence." It was a "new station," but no taxi to be had. The driver said we'd have to call one, but he couldn't help us with a number. Luckily we found an angel of a woman who called us a taxi on her own phone and carried our bags when it arrived.
