This service worked perfectly for us. Only suggestion we have is to have some form of signage at the station in Vancouver that lets passengers know that they are waiting in the correct area.
The site indicates that a ticket and photo ID are required to board the bus. At no time is it indicated that ArriveCAN is required which created chaos for all of the travellers who were not aware of this requirement. The wifi not being any good made it extremely difficult to download the app. The driver then indicated that we couldn’t board without it. Put the information on your site!
There is a slight problem finding the right spot in Vancouver , for a person not familiar with the city, as there is no sign. I know that that there was a clear description in the instructions.
The staff person at Canada Place was excellent. He went way out of his way to help us. Was confusing because people at ground level told us we were in the right place. Turned out we needed to be in lower level. He really helped us out
Qwick shuttle did the job, and the driver did an excellent job with the poor, old bus. The defrost did not work at all, and he resorted to stopping and wiping the inside of the window down. We felt every bump on this old thing, some headrests were loosing foam.
Anna, our bus driver was overall very good. She was friendly and kept the bus lively by telling us funny stories. She did a great job reminding us of procedures in customs, and was very helpful.
The only thing I was slightly concerned were with some minor delays. I think there were some times when our bus driver was talking a bit too much/took too long to get coffee, which resulted in a later departure time. Of course, I don't actually know how the company/bus driver manages the time, maybe it's standard protocol to wait 5-10 minutes at each bus stop. However, the bus arrived 45 minutes late in Vancouver, and customs only took ~10 minutes longer than it should've.
There was also an unpleasant bathroom smell that was especially strong when the bus wasn't ventilated.
Overall though, it was a good ride.
Our driver, Pinkie, was AWESOME! I was traveling with my young son and we weren't sure where to meet the bus in Vancouver. We were told 8 different places by the Waterfront St station and when we circled back to the original pickup location, she was waiting for us! She was very communicative regarding the schedule, border crossing, and dealing with the 55 ancient senior citizens that were on the bus with us.
Excellent overall service. Driver was superb in handling all aspects of the trip from baggage handling to seating families together on a nearly full bus to a smooth process clearing customs at the border.
After traveling back to US this way, I would recommend it to everyone over flying. Much less stressful, easier to go through customs, just sit back and relax and watch the scenery. Our wonderful bus driver was a delight. She pointed out many things along the way, had a great sense of humor and was extremely pleasant. I will use the bus again when the occasion arises.
Great option to travel from Canada. Quicker way through customs than flying out. Give yourself extra time than what is stated for travel. (Accident, extra stops, traffic, etc.)
Slight delays were due to customers late arrival at departure and border crossing. Driver was professional, polite, and efficient. Would definitely use Quick Shuttle in the future.
The bus was late getting in due to a hold-up at customs that was out of the company's hands. It would have been nice to know that the arrival time can be subject to delays depending on customs, but otherwise I don't blame the company for that. They should be more clear that the wifi is very slow though, and basically only works to send messages.
Rating the shuttle late is not an indicator of the service. We really enjoyed the trip and the staff was very helpful with forms and letting us know what would happen at the border.
