It is a nightbus, and I was sitting up in the front of the bus and could hear the drivers loud music through my own headphones. Plus we stopped once every hour which woke me up every time. And I still do not know what the reason for the stops were.
Speakers were very loud, to the point I couldn’t speak to the person next to me. No aircon so it was very hot inside. Oil spilt over our luggage in the bag hold. Arrived to Puerto Maldonado three hours late.
We left Ica at 6pm and arrived Cusco midnight of the next day. During the trip the drivers never told us where we were or how long we would stop in each place. There were several protestes on the streets. The toilet was really bad.
No había espacio para las piernas, el bus estaba sucio y además en 24 horas solo hizo 2 paradas, de las que una fue de 2 minutos y no pudimos hacer/comprar nada.
Very comfortable seats, but late to leave Ica and then no communication to explain why we have kept stopping along the road towards Cusco. Still travelling 21 hours after leaving Ica.
My experience of Excluciva was terrible. I got an overnight bus from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado and the driver had the heat on full blast for the entire journey. It was so uncomfortable, sticking to the seats, hot air blowing so that absolutely everything was warm. It was like being in a sauna making for a hot, sticky, uncomfortable night of no sleep. There were also no staff around to ask for it to be turned down.
Additionally, the bus arrived 3 hrs later than expected (8am rather than their advertised 5.05am) which may be an issue for anyone going straight on an Amazon tour.
Dirty, smelly bus. Luggage was completely soaked with smelly liquid after we arrived in Arequipa. Staff was unhelpful. Toilets were very dirty. Never again with Civa
We received 120 degrees seats even though we expected we paid for 160 degree seats. very painful trip for senior citizens over 76 years old. we want to change return trip to ensure we have 160 degree seats
My chair was broke coudlt sit normally when I wanted. Cpuld manage that but the chair was falling apart. There was a smell of gas for the whole ride and i could barley breath. And it was so hot my water bottle boiled.
Everything was really good. The only thing was with so many people in the bus (this is normal) during the night a ceiling window was covered with water drops due to high moisture. These drops would fall on me every few minutes making it impossible to sleep. Luckily I had my rain jacket with me and after a bit of struggling, I made it into a position where these drops would fall on the jacket. Besides that it was good.
The air condition was completely turned off all the time. After a few hours there was no oxygen anymore. It was super hot, humid and no air to breath. It was really hard for all travelers and everyone only wanted to get out as soon as possible.
Never again!
The driver wasn't kind, he didn't want to give the WiFi password, the tv sceen not working, the food we got wasn't eatable, the toilets not clean, the bus sites was good. and comfortable, the trip was fine no problem s
It was not a comfy ride whatsoever. No AC in teh bus, no comfort position to sleep, dirty and smelly. But the driver was a master of its kind, very good But on the other hand, no driver shall be driving more than 8 h and we went for 15h! Driver must change on the way!
Absolutely the worst bus journey ever and I've done my share of long and overnight buses. It was meant to be a 140 degree reclining seat, but was just the most standard bus seat. There was no air conditioning. There were no breaks to stretch your legs or get food whatsoever. We had booked seats on the right side online because it was meant to be more scenic, but the actual seatings were completely different and we ended up on the left. The journey was 23 hours. It was inhumane. Never again.
We asked the company about the protest that happened few days ago if we can pass and we been told we can, we got to the protest area and got stuck like the other 15 buses of the same company and few of other companies.
We had to cancel our flight and walk 40km to pass the blockroads to get the other side of the road and from there getting to Lima.
The company didn't said the truth and a lot of people been stuck over of 3 days without food or water.
the company just tried to make money without care of people health or security.
There was no vegetarian meal even though I selected that when booking, the bus was late, a movie played super loud until 1am and then everyone was woken up at 7am (not enough time to sleep). Overall not a terrific experience.
Busbud is a bus search tool - we include Civa routes, schedules and prices in our searches along with many other bus companies. You can compare prices, amenities and times by searching for a route. If you find a suitable trip, you can go ahead and get your Civa ticket from us. Note that buses sell out, Civa and other operators generally charge a lot more for last minute tickets or for tickets bought in person.
