Bus service was OK. Bus terminal a bit out of the way, ended up taking a Tuk-Tuk to board the bus.
I paid $4 more than I did getting to Siem Reap to be exposed to a better rest stop experience. Better food choices. Seats comfortable, bus in good condition, mechanically sound. A/C provided, no electrical outlets for charging purposes.
The driver was one of the rudest people I have ever met. He blasted techno music so we couldn’t sleep and when asked to turn it down he laughed in our face. He also stopped half way to let 2 people on who slept in the middle of the aisle beside us.
The driver barely spoke any English and he said the first rest stop would be 20 min but it ended up being 35 because he was still eating. Wish he had said this earlier so that I also would’ve gotten dinner instead of just a drink. “Bus” was not a bus; it was a van. A very cramped van. With people who were on phone calls almost the entire time.
This was a very unprofessional service. There were at least 3 long meal stops along with passengers requesting to get off and do their shopping on the way. We then didn't get dropped anywhere near where the drop off point was. We were left 6km from the city centre and struggled to call a taxi.
Not happy at all
The journey was smooth, until there was a sudden brake, which woke most of the passengers. I'm sure it wasn't the fault of the driver.
The staff was really polite and delivered bottled water personally to each of the passengers at their seats.
Bus trip went ok, but missed my stop in Phnom Penh (my mistake as thought the bus was only going to PP) and couldn't communicate with the driver about wanting to stop, so ended up being about 10 miles outside city at 3am in the morning.
No communication, at first was told I couldn't put bags below in storage. Then was yelled at 10 mins later because I hadn't. No communication and very rude
