Bus from Calgary to Red Deer: Tickets & Timetables

I wasn't able to board today's bus. The bus already left from there. Then tried to get on from next stop but still it left.

Bus came late. They changed where the bus normally collects passengers from cross iron mill without informing anyone. Lastly, the bus was running late and no one called to let the passengers know. Also, their phone is always on voicemail.

My experience with Rider Express has been quite disappointing. I travel with Rider Express regularly, and almost every trip has been delayed by about 20–25 minutes. The biggest issue is that passengers are not informed about these delays in advance. I never receive email notifications or updates, so I end up waiting at the bus stop without knowing when the bus will actually arrive. This makes it difficult to plan my schedule, especially when I have work, classes, or connecting transportation. Another major issue is the onboard Wi-Fi. It is advertised as a service for passengers, but on my trips it has either not worked at all or has been very unreliable. This is frustrating because many passengers depend on the Wi-Fi to study, work, communicate with family, or simply stay connected during long journeys. While I appreciate that Rider Express offers affordable transportation, I believe there is significant room for improvement. Better communication about delays, improved punctuality, and reliable Wi-Fi would make the travel experience much better. I hope Rider Express takes passenger feedback seriously and works to improve these issues for future travelers.

The ride was a little bit uncomfortable from the heat. The air conditioning was on just wasn't enough when the shades aren't pulled down

Horrible the bus never showed up. I was at the bus stop 30 minutes early and there was like 10 other people so no chance I missed it. I waited 2 hours and spent 20minutes on hold 2 times. After an hour the first rep lied and said the bus was 10 minutes away. Called back 40min later and the second rep said he couldn't locate the bus in the system and to call back a 3rd time 20min later for an answer. I had to take an uber for $220. When waiting for my Uber another passenger came up to me and told me he called and their rep told him that we missed the bus. Which is a lie as I was 30minutes early and no bus came and there was literally 10 other people that "missed it as well".

When I arrived Red Deer, the driver just opened the luggage compartment without saying a work and walked into the mall. I was told that passengers are suppose to bring out their luggage out from the bus themselves. That is so rude that not a single staff member can explain that to the passenger

Great journey, friendly helpful driver, comfortable bus. I’d happily ride it all day.

Trip was fast and convenient, but price went up as I was in the middle of booking.

Comfortable seats, very clean, bus was exactly on time, driver was very professional.

It is seamless, after a busy week at my conference, having something simple to use to go visit a friend is what I needed. 😊

Terrible, I got charged $75 for bringing a skateboard on The driver forced me to pay or miss the bus altogether He showed me the rules and it said snowboards or skis said nothing about a skateboard snowboards and skis are 3 to 4 times the size of a small skateboard and he charged me and forced me to pay it

The driver kept moving us from one bus to another without providing any reason for the passengers. We spent an hour sitting inside a cold bus with no heater.

Just the guy in seat 7 who thought it was a good idea to take a zoom call. Very rude and likely didn't hear drivers instructions at the beginning. I told this guy when I got off in Res Deer he was rude and not considerate to other passengers

Courteous staff, very comfortable seats and although the traffic was stalled on Hwy 2, the driver drove safely all the way and we were only a few minutes late arriving in Red Deer.

The drive was very good and right on time, the seats were slightly smaller then expected, baggage was very good

Seat belts were inaccessible, or if they were accessible it wasn't clear where they were.

There was a very drunk man who sat beside me and touched my face. I don't know how he was and we didn't exchange so much as a hello before he did that. He then passed out and was falling on me most of the way. His music was blasting and I eventually had to stand on the seat and jump over him because he could not be woken up.

Bus was clean, on time, and comfortable enough. Wifi didn't work this trip though
