Bus ticket was stated to Goreme but we were told to get off outside of Nesehir to switch to mini bus. While waiting for minibus everyone was pressured to buy tours. When it was apparent we were not buying anything we were ushered to another bus company and rode their bus into Goreme.
The travel was very chaotic, the staff was rude to us and they dropped us off in Nevsehir instead of Göreme (we bought a ticket to GÖREME), we had to take two mini buses and it took us at least one hour. When I asked them why they were just very arrogant saying “no Göreme, Kayseri”. It is really uncomfortable to sleep because they keep turning on the lights all the time and they keep it on for minutes. For sure not a good experience.
The staff were very flexible, friendly and customer focused. I was very impressed with the bus manager/host. The service was totally reliable, with one exception. The reason for 4/5 is that the entertainment and technology as advertised was not delivered. Nowhere near.
All the media was in Turkish and the equipment was faulty (charging, screen resolution, unresponsive buttons, sound quality, very poor Wi-Fi). Since buses are a competitor to planes, and many foreigners want to discover this amazing country, as a minimum the media should be in English or with English subtitles. This is an essential but easy-met requirement.
This was our first time on an overnight bus in Turkey and it was wonderful. The seats were comfortable, it didn't fully recline but we still managed to sleep a little bit. We were surprised to see a drink and snack service on board as well. What a treat! The buses were also kept relatively quiet and dark so the passengers can rest. My only criticism was that as tourist purchasing online it was hard to find somewhere to print the tickets, especially since we had to exchange for different tickets at the counter at the bus terminal anyways. I would suggest that printed tickets are not necessarily required but to present the proof of purchase to the ticket booth in exchange for the actual ticket or something along those lines.
The drivers were smoking when he was driving. The bus was full of smoking smell and we sit behind the driver and the smell made me not asleep, which is intolerable.
Moreover, the bus changed the departure time with one hour delayed without any notification. We realised the change when we arrived the bus terminal.
Horrible bus ride. In my ticket i had seat 24 when i arrive to the bus they change my ticket to seat 22. My new seat had no leg space at all, it was only a seat for a child not a normal person. When i asked why they changed my seat without my permission i was mistreated by the bus personnel. They did not try to help me nor they explained why they have changed my seat. It was a horrible 11 hours bus ride. Never again i will take this company.
Very good service! First time using this service in Turkey. Would highly recommend. Was impressed with service on coach of refreshments. Also the coach had tv’s, air conditioning and comfortable stylish seating.
Would happily use again. Thanks!
