The Centro bus was never called so it was not known to me where the bus was loading. I was informed that it left and I had to buy another ticket. Another couple had the same experience. As it was a small bus and parked beyond the big buses, I had no idea it was there. It wasn't on the board or called out by the lead bus man
Sucks!! Took my money, bus didn't come. Then made me but another ticket for the same price. The announcers know no English at all and as a result many are missing their busses. Also missed my flight the bus was so late. Had to buy another ticket. If I could give Them 0 stars that is what they would get from me. Suckey people and Suckey service. Not recommended.
Nice, fast and efficient bus trip.
The only issue is the terminal in Cancun. I will call i chaotic, employees stood in the gate yelling which bus next, in Spanish. Everyone went to the gate to show their ticket, afraid of loosing their bus
We were very confused where to go. Our bus was not appearimg on the list of buses they were leaving. When it was time fo our bus to depart, we were worried and have asked a man who called out people for boarding multiple times if we can board for Valladolid. He kept telling us that he would call us when it is time. Then we asked someone esle and it turned out we were late for our bus. A bit dissapointed, vonfusinf servise.
There was a group of 4 of us going to Valladolid leaving at 2:50PM in Cancun. We arrived well before the departure time (20-30 mins before) but our destination, Valladolid, was not appearing on the screen. We kept asking one of the employees who was in charge of directing people to their buses but he kept telling us to wait. Well now it’s 3PM still telling us to wait but our bus has left. He takes us to the ticket counter and they tell us we have to get on the 4PM bus (not even ADO) and we have to pay the difference. So we paid more for our bus tickets to arrive later and travel longer than we expected. It was a very poor experience.
Well, the departure trip wasn't ANYWHERE!? Staff (when asked 1HOUR in advance) said it will be announced BUT IT WASN'T! No announcements & not on the screen! Only 1 security (when asked 2 minutes before departure) said: "Yes, there quick"! Then everyone else followed (around 10 people)!
I got my ticket online but when I asked workers where I should go when I got there, they just kept telling me to wait. Eventually it was literally time to leave and we still had no idea which bus to take and the screens on the wall didn't say. We asked about 4 people in a big scramble and eventually found a baggage handler who was surprised and quickly moved us to our shuttle that was about to leave. Barely caught it. Poor service at the terminal.
Purchasing tickets online is very convenient and simple. The whole ADO operation is highly professional. The staff is efficient and runs a smooth logistical system. The busses are comfortable and relaxing. I recommended using this service for transferring between locations while in Mexico.
The bus was very small and the driver barely used the AC despite the heat. It was too hot outside plus with wearing a mask to not use AC or have open windows. I felt so ill. It also would be nice to know in advance that public restrooms on our route require pesos.
Someone messed up my ticket, I booked for Aug 4 @ 6:37, they said there was no bus for 6:37, the next bus was for 6:52, so i waited. When the bus came they said my ticket wasnt valid, so they checked their local system, my ticket on their system said Aug 8 @ 6:52pm instead of Aug 4 @ 6:37pm. They wouldn’t let me get on the bus, but I wouldnt take no for an answer so they eventually let me in. I don’t know who messed up my ticket, but I am very disappointed as the whole bus trip going to Playa Del Carmen took longer than expected and the whole bus was delayed because of the ticket situation I had to deal with several staff, they were all helpful and accommodating, it’s just that they were not sure how to let me on the bus since the tickets were all messed up.
The bus was excellent. There was construction on the highway and they had just had a heavy rain. I believe they were late due to these factors. This is an excellent way to get around Mexico. I will highly recommend ADO to all my friends!!
Timely bus service, some busses new and comfortable, some are not. Some routes have tickets available to purchase online, some do not. Seems It’s getting better or maybe just a mixed bag. But the transportation itself has been reliable.
The bus left early, without me. I asked the attendant for help, and was told to wait a little more time. Then he said in one hour another bus would come. After waiting 1.5 hours, I finally asked the ticket attendant, and she said the next bus was in 3 hours, and I had to pay again.
Bus announcements are in Spanish and mine is limited, so I asked a staff member two times if my bus was leaving. Both times he said, 'no'. Five minutes later, I asked a third time and he said I missed my bus. :( I had to rebook for 1.5 hours later.
The bus ride to Cancun was fine (on a minibus) but the bus left one half hour late. Apparently they combined the 10:00 bus and the 10:30 bus, but as far as we know, there was no communication or announcement about this change. One other man who was also waiting for the 10:00 bus finally asked someone about our bus. I couldn't understand the reply in Spanish, but I am guessing he was told it would be a half hour late because they were combining the two buses.
Busbud is a bus search tool - we include ADO CONECTA routes, schedules and prices in our searches along with many other bus companies. You can compare prices, amenities and times by searching for a route. If you find a suitable trip, you can go ahead and get your ADO CONECTA ticket from us. Note that buses sell out, ADO CONECTA and other operators generally charge a lot more for last minute tickets or for tickets bought in person.
