Euro 2020: Travel to the European Championships

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the event, the Euro 2020 is are being held in multiple countries, with venues in 12 cities in 12 different countries spread across Europe. The competition has previously been held in different countries to meet the UEFA’s stadium requirements (think Poland-Ukraine in 2012 or Belgium-Netherlands in 2000). However, this is the first time that the competition is held across this many cities and countries. 

UEFA’s ambitious plan is to stage a one-off “party all over Europe”, meaning that wherever you are located, you might have a chance to partake in the festivities! Euro 2020 dates, hosts, and grounds

The Euro 2020 kicks off on Friday, June 12th and will go one for a month until Sunday, July 12th, 2020.

Euro 2020 groups and teams

The tournament will feature 24 tournaments. So far, there are 20 qualified teams, who will be joined by four play-off winners, sorted in the following groups:

• Group A: Turkey, Italy, Wales, Switzerland
• Group B: Denmark, Finland, Belgium, Russia
• Group C: Netherlands, Ukraine, Austria, play-off winner D or A
• Group D: England, Croatia, play-off winner C, Czech Republic
• Group E: Spain, Sweden, Poland, play-off winner B
• Group F: play-off winner A or D, Portugal, France, Germany

How can I get tickets to Euro 2020?

Obtaining tickets to one of the most popular football tournaments in the world is no easy feat! Tickets are available in three price tiers directly from the UEFA website. Depending on the city, you might still be able to score a few tickets. 

Starting in March 2020, fans can resell their unwanted tickets via the official UEFA re-sale platform, meaning that more tickets will be accessible. This will likely be your best bet in finding tickets.

Traveling to host cities
