The bus driver was giving us a hard time when we were asking questions about the trip. He was rude with us when ficing the instructions. He didnt help people who was in need to bring their baggge in (old people) and I did it instead of him. Very not impress by him, his supervisor should be aware of his bad attitude.
I left my bag on your bus at Vancouver Pacific Central Station but the number to call for lost and found is so unclear and I still have not gotten back my bag yet. I'm so worried and just waiting for your contact.
A collision happened on the highway due to the bus driver colliding into another car; we were sat in the bus for over an hour, Late to Vancouver resulting in me missing my departure bus home from Pacific Central Station
Driver welcomed us on board explained what time we were due at the border, went through the process of what we needed to do , did feel sorry for him having to unload all of the cases and then put them back on again. As we were approaching Vancouver we got caught in a lot of traffic, hence why we were a little getting to the station. No big deal.overall a pleasant journey
When I bought my ticket, I was under the assumption that it was a train ticket, as that is how it was advertised to me. I then learn that it's a bus ticket. Okay, fine. The bus was severely lacking in modern amenities and was packed to the brim. I know it wasn't anyone's fault, but the bus blew out a tire and a new one had to cross the border in order to come get us. If I had known that it was a bus, and not a great one at that, I would've sprung for a different option. At least we got home safe, but it was agonizingly slow and minimal information was given during the delay. I won't use Cantrail again, and will be extremely careful when reading anything to do with Amtrak, if I even consider using them again. Just say it's a bus ticket outright! Jeez!
There were a couple of major traffic incidents on the highway causing major congestion. The driver was able to alter his route to avoid lengthy delays. He regularly communicated the situation with passengers.
Very disappointed with the misrepresentation of Amtrak. When I booked my trip I was under the impression that I was booking a train seat. There was no mention upon booking that what I actually would be riding was a bus. I am not from the USA but when train bookings are made it is through Amtrak or so I thought. When my online reservation came through it read: TRAIN: 8948 Amtrak Thruway Connecting Service. It was not until I arrived at a train station in Seattle that was not running. Instead a person told me I had to get a bus outside of the station. The bus ride and thankfully the bus driver, was very helpful and told me to call the Amtrak to deal with the issue. When I contacted an Amtrak rep she was very curt and told me she would not issue an compensation or apology and told me to contact corporate office. She gave me an email… Another person passing the buck. I will not be travelling anytime soon because appently unbeknownst to me there are NO TRAINS.Terrible misrepresentation and customer service.
Wifi in Amtrak building Seattle needs updating. It did not allow me to download my ArriveCAN or any other wifi apps. Went to coffee shop a block away, everything downloaded fine, but I missed my bus despite arriving early for it
1 star review is because the service was cancelled very last minute and no email or text notification given. Only found out after I'd already travelled 2 hours into the city center
