Such a wonderful and affordable alternative to getting around the city. I was so grateful to be able to charge my phone and the staff was so patient with the language barrier. I would highly recommend!
I really wanted to comment on the passive aggressive baggage handler who took my bag off me to throw it in the bus. I'd have happily put it in myself. And the driver who when we didnt know what terminal we we're leaving from shrugged and couldn't have cared less. I don't expect the drivers to know everything but if he had shown any compassion it can genuinely help the situation.
The trip from the airport on our first night was brilliant. Helpful staff all on time really good Once we had found where the bus left from.
Our bus was cancelled, there was no announcement to say so it just disappeared off the boarding screen at the time it was due to leave. Spoke to staff who managed to get us on an alternative bus from a different bus station over an hour away. However they couldn't get us to that bus station and so we had to pay for a taxi ourselves to get to the new bus station to rake the bus which we made with about 10 mins to spare because everything took so long to organise
Horrible. Super delayed. Almost 2 hours too late to cancun. Ended up loosing my flight. Even I prepared to have 3 hours early at airport. Ended up rushing. Came 5 kin too late for checkin. Had to buy a new ticket!!
The driver was really rude because I couldn’t understand him through his face mask and over the engine of the bus. He rolled his eyes at me when I didn’t understand his Spanish and was very dismissive.
We booked a ticket online for 2:25pm yesterday and when we arrive at the bus station we asked the staff which bus but couldn’t answer a single answer. When a bus arrive we showed our ticket on our phone but said it was not this bus even if he called that it was the bus for Cancun. The other employee told us that it would be the next one. When the next one arrived. The bus driver was asking for a paper and asked to leave the bus. We didn’t understand what was going on. We asked another tourist and they said that we need to go to another counter to have a printed ticket even if in the confirmation email it said that we can show the ticket
We were stopped on the road 20 km from Chiquila by a strike between states. They put up a road block and we had to sit there for 2 hrs. We were late for our hotel check in and had 2 hrs less time to enjoy Hoblox. This was very dissapointing.
This time from Puebla to Oxaca an older bus but the trip went quite quickly and comfortable. Better not look in front of the bus..takeovers up the mountain can be a bit scary😃…but I guess we had an experienced driver…
The information at the bus station in Cancun about departures (time, location, bus stand and number) was poor and relied on word of mouth, the information on the display screens in the bus station was wrong. We nearly missed our bus. Once on the bus the journey was good.
As an English speaker, I would appreciate more directions, announcements in English. Part of my anxiety whenever I have taken ADO is that I’ll miss my bus or get on the wrong one. The drivers of the buses could be considerably more friendly, in my opinion.
As a non Spanish tourist, it was hard to find the bus. There was no display of which bus goes where. I had to run behind every single driver with my ticket, and few tourists running behind me with the same problem. There were 4 buses leaving at the same time, and no one except the drivers knew which bus went where. A display of destination on the bus would have been helpful for everybody, and saved a lot of chaos
Busbud is a bus search tool - we include ADO routes, schedules and prices in our searches along with many other bus companies. You can compare prices, amenities and times by searching for a route. If you find a suitable trip, you can go ahead and get your ADO ticket from us. Note that buses sell out, ADO and other operators generally charge a lot more for last minute tickets or for tickets bought in person.
