The woman next to me was eating something that made me sick. I vomited in a bag. She was upset, and asked me to move. There were empty seats. I told the driver what happened, holding the bag of vomit. He said it was Greyhound's policy that people had to sit in their assigned seat. He said if I was sick, I should get off the bus (this was at the last pick up stop), and that if I sat in an empty seat, he would stop the bus and call the cops. the bus was late, because there was trouble with a passenger not following the driver's orders. He needed to be removed by police, and the driver did a very good job to not let it escalate but at the same time insist on him getting out, which made everyone else feel safer.
