The bus was 3hours late setting off then broke down we sat on the bus five hours waiting for it to be fixed it wasn’t even a greyhound bus not happy with this service Maria
Worst experience I've ever had with a transportation company. Buses were never on time and staff were extremely unsupportive in terms of helping me reschedule. The Customer Service Representative I spoke with on the phone actually hung up on me. I will never ride Greyhound again.
This was my first time using Greyhound buses and I was very pleased with my experience. The station wifi worked but not really the bus wifi so that's really my only thing. Other than that there was plenty of legroom, and I liked that there was plugs for our chargers. I took two buses, one in Memphis to Nashville, and the other from Nashville back to Memphis. The staff at both places did a great job in helping me with my tickets and finding out where I needed to go.
This was the most horrible ride I have ever had in Greyhound. The bus was full to capacity, then there was a baby who cried for the longest. The driver had to stop so she could get it together and he definitely need get a break. I pray I will never have to ride again.
This ride was the worst, the bus arrived 1hr late and broke down 2hrs into the drive, an additional 4hr or better spent waiting on a solution, the bus driver was kind enough to try to make it to the nearest gas station for us to be able to get off the bus, finally making to my destination 6hrs later than scheduled. My Last Greyhound ride
First time riding Greyhound and I’ll never do it again. I arrived early and the ticketing clerk would not let me have my boarding pass or even tell me which schedule I was on for six hours until just before the bus was set to arrive. She made an announcement three hours in about a bus running two hours late. I asked if it was mine and she waved me off with a No, only to find out it was when I was FINALLY given my ticket. I’ve never seen someone more lazy or less interested in helping guests and on top of the rude/bad customer experience, I ended up having to pay an extra $50 to get home from the station via Uber because the bus didn’t get in until after 1am!
Booked the bus for 9.30am, when bus arrived we were told we couldn’t get on it as we were going direct to Nashville, kept getting different answers from staff as to when we would get the bus, totally unacceptable as we booked the 9.30am so we should have been able to take that one
I’ve been in NYC taxis that were cleaner than this greyhound bus. What happened to your reputation of clean, relaxing, safe transportation?
First and last time I will ever take a GH bus!
My first trip on Greyhound in years. The new terminal in Memphis was poorly designed, with a sound system that made it impossible to hear announcements and a charging station with no seating, so it was necessary to stand or sit on the floor while charging. Staff was minimal, usually no one in sight and no one manning the central desk or ticket counter. The station lacked road signage so difficult to find.
Once on board, the driver was rude, shouting at passengers who didn't speak English. I found travel on Greyhound convenient but design of terminal and actions of staff seemed strangely hostile towards passengers.
Staff at Memphis Greyhound terminal were rude and very unhelpful , the facilities (restrooms where disgusting) our bus that we booked and paid for 2 days earlier we could not get on to after we had lined up in the correct queue before the 9:20am departure. Our allocated 4 seats for this trip had been given to somebody else. We then had to wait for approximately another hour before a second bus became available. There was no notice board to update passengers and the staff /lady doing any announcements was inaudible. When the second bus arrived , we where not allocated any seating and we where all separated and the bus restroom was a disgrace not fit for humans. Greyhound bus no: 7124 , the entrance door was flapping in wind and only half attached also the window I was sitting at was also rattling so much it could have flown off. We are horrified with this service and will not recommend to anyone , to be charged $49 USD per person to travel with this company , you should be ASHAMED !!! And a complete rip off !!!
G Keep ( Australia )
The bus had a loose belt in motor which squealed the whole trip.
The seats would not stay in upright position
Rubbish stuffed in gap of window. Windows filthy.
The worst experience i had in my lifetime. We were made to wait 3+ hours. When approached the staff to know the info, they were very reckless.. they just answered saying, “i donno anything wait in the queue”. The bus came after 3+ hours. Its a complete messed up system. I will never consider greyhound again. Will never suggest to anyone too
Very disappointed with trip. Firstly we were not told that the bus was going to be late leaving. Then I had to ask 3 people if I could sit beside them - their bags were taking up a seat and they did not want to remove them. The staff member did ask people to move bags and allow people to sit on the seat. I also think we should have been informed the expected time of arrival in Nashville.
We booked our tickets for the Greyhound bus from Memphis to Nashville over 13 weeks prior to our trip and upon arriving at the bus terminal early as requested by your company we lined up for nearly an hour only to be told that the bus was full? How could the bus be full if we purchased the ticket 13 weeks earlier!! the wait time for the next bus was over 4 1/2 hours until the next bus. This delay caused us huge problems at our destination of Nashville as we had made plans for our earlier arrival.
Horrible. First and last time on Greyhound. 5 hour delay then driver got lost avoiding traffic. Halfway stop depot was closed with no options for restroom or beverages.
Our bus left 5 hours late. During this time there was no contact with us and the other passengers to tell us that there was a delay, why there was a delay and what was being done about it. It was sheer fluke that we discovered after 5 hours that they had found a driver and a bus and it was boarding. There was no tannoy system and no illuminated information to tell us about arrivals and departures. Truly awful service and staff who hadn't a clue what was going on. We arrived in Memphis in the dark and it was not far off midnight and quite scary. I expect some response to this please.
Not a well-managed bus line nowadays. They held up departure over a bus that needed fueling, and then they made it wait for another bus. Good for them that they had an alternate bus that, despite leaving 30 minutes late, arrived only 15 minutes late. The driver saved them from a worse rating. But I generally don't like travel by bus, because it is not well-managed.
Bus was delayed by 4 hours. Staff at the depot gave little to no updated during this time. The bus driver and staff checking the tickets apologised for the delays. Was very poor service overall and the boarding number system isn't even utilised so seems pointless having it. Bus overbooked and we were lucky to get on the bus when we did. Very disappointing service. I thought Greyhound would have been more organised and been able to give updates as to the status of the supposed driver we were waiting for.
