The price was great, the coach was good, the restroom was smelly and poorly stocked, the driver was good but misinformed us about where to get off which cost us a 15 pound cab ride.
Bus was good looking, very refreshing with good toilet + Clean. Unfortunately there was no 3 way plug to charge my phone only for UBS. The speakers in the bus was very bad, could not hear what the Driver was saying when he speaks, it was bad. Bus was on time going but arrived 20 minutes late in Liverpool.
Driver did not check tickets, we got on the wrong coach as the destination was not indicated. Nightmare journey. Will use trains from now on, lesson learned!
Friendly staff, coaches go on time, good speed, comfort in the coaches is 👌👌,updating passengers about the journey. I feel announcements should be on board too, to cater for the people who have challenges with the accent.
The driver and driving was superb. He was friendly and it was a smooth trip.
The electronic sign for where the bus was going wasn’t working and no one to ask at Heathrow
This caused some confusion for me. I had just got off a 29 hour journey and needed clear direction!
Booked 8:25am bus from Heathrow airport to Coventry. Travel information posted in bus terminal stated bus delayed and time was added every 15 min. or so. Contacted Nat Exp customer service around 9:45am and learned the bus was cancelled due to mechanical problems. He stated I should have received an email (did not along with others) and proceeded to change the ticket to the regular next scheduled meeting of11:25am departure.
The journey by National Express was booked as a direct journey from Sheffield to York however we were informed that we must change at Leeds. At Leeds we left our coach to be told to catch the Leeds to York service but we were expecting a National Express bus but later found out it was to be a Coastliner. We paid for all the journey but we’re covered from Leeds to York by our seniors travel pass and return. Apart from this we enjoyed travelling by National Express. Please make senior citizens aware of this benefit provided by North Yorkshire. Best Wishes M. Milner
Bus schedule for 6.30pm. Arrived 7.45pm. None of the other bus drivers could tell us why the bus hadn't turned up. Should have some way if letting passengers know of the delay and assure us that the bus was still coming. After long flights everyone waiting was fed up.
Bus arrived on time and reasonably comfortable. Luckily I sat well away from the toilet at the back as that was unpleasant towards the end ...why do men wee on the floor!
Though interminably slow until Taunton ( need plenty of snacks and water as bus does not stop anywhere) the first part of the journey was fine. Then on to Heathrow with a second driver and Earl's Court all going well.
Now I was going to Victoria coach station and we would only have been about 15 minutes late if the driver hadn't got lost and telling us he hadn't been into London for a long time. There had been a road closure but even I knew we were going wrong(clearly no SatNav). He spoke to a supervisor who told him not to go over Vauxhall bridge so we go over it!!! Then back over Lambeth Bridge past Westminster (annoyingly my final destination).Poor chap was then just about guessing the way, one passenger tried to help but got muddled, I turned on Google maps and shouted instructions at the end...nearly an hour late. Very frustrating.
First of all our time of departure was put back by half an hour which we could put up with but unfortunately due to the coach turning up another 45 minutes late we ended only being able to enjoy an hour of the 3 hour airport lounge time slot we booked as we then arrived to find the the drop off point had changed to a long up hill walk whereas it used to be outside the terminal door.
Another thing that didn't help was that the coaches air conditioning didn't work!
I did not like the way the driver commanded me when i boarded in Manchester to sit at the back yet i was sitting at the front and gave someone else my seat. I felt it's cos of my originality and gave the the seat to someone of the same origin and therefore not any member of my family will ever use your buses again.
I didn’t enjoy the 1.5hr delay getting to Birmingham and therefore having to wait an extra 2.5hrs to get another connection after missing the previous one.
It started off very stressful because when we arrived at the coach station, while checking my e-ticket, it didn’t advise which gate the coach was departing from and it took a long time to find out before we could do anything else such as toilet or snacks. Other than that, we thought the service from national express was very professional.
The actual journey was fine. The 40 minute late pick up was not. This resulted in the requirement of a fast track ticket purchase at the airport security line to ensure I caught my flight.
