There was no heat in the bus, vents were blowing cold air. This was on the coldest day of the year (0 degrees f). Seriously could have been quite dangerous for some who were even slightly underdressed. I couldn’t feel my toes till the next morning.
I liked the price, the bathroom could be cleaned between use and the driver ran out of gas during the ride, we were late due to leaving late and having to re-fuel mid trip
Disrespectful bus drivers that can't speak English & are clearly not qualified To be A Bus driver in America. They are most likely illegal. This is a job for a competent person who can atleast read the signs of the road. It's only a matter of time before one of the bus drivers causes a terrible accident.
The bus was late and dirty. A lot of people got there 30 minutes early as it was advised since the bus was to leave at 5, but the bus didn’t come until about 20 minutes after 5. As we were all boarding the bus, there was a lot of garbage on different seats and on the floor. It wasn’t something people wanted touch, let alone to sit on.
THe long list of dos and donts tigen by the driver at start of trip was Unsettling. The crowded nature of the bus was a surprise; I did not think, even though it was friday, there would be so many. There was no real possibility of reading most of the trip (we were into a Late Fri. afternoon thing) because the lights did not work. The driver was courteous enough but he made a special stop that took an extra 10-12 minutes that was not explained (maybe to drop off a parcel).
Great trip overall, the heat was extremely high on the way back, asked driver to turn it down, he turned it down for 30 minutes and then we continued to sweat for the remainder of the trip. Would definitely do it again
Our bus was supposed to leave at 2:30PM, so we got there at 2:00pm. We asked the staff just to be sure we were standing in the right line and showed them our tickets, and were told we were in the right place. When the time was 3:40pm the bus started boarding and someone checked our tickets and they said we missed our bus, we then had to tell them that we had been waiting for over 1 1/2 hours and luckily we got to board another bus. There were also others that was supposed to take the 2:30 bud with us and they never saw the bus eather.
This incident made us late for our oppointment in New York.
The driver was rude and said if anyone was gonna speak loud to sit in the back. No one was speaking loud to begin with and he had an attitude for no reason, I payed for the trip even if I was loud I can speak as loud as I want to his job is to drive not to command anyone to shut up or sit in the back. Overall the ride was pretty quick I got back to nyc in 2 hours and a half but it felt quick to me.
The emergency exit was just above the aisle next to my seat. It leaked constantly as it was a rainy day. Can't you repair the weatherstripping so that is not an issue? Additionally, the toilet paper roll escaped the bathroom and rolled on the wet aisle the entire trip. If the toilet paper roll was fixed in the bathroom so it could not escape, there wouldn't be as much muck in the aisle.
The staff from the Greyhound station in Rensselaer, NY was very satisfactory & accomodating once they were advised travel partner Joann is handicapped. The restroom in the Rennselaer station however, by comparison to the NYC station restroom, desperately needs attention.
Greyhound staff are very impolite towards customers and treat us very very badly. After my experience I can safely say I will never book a trip wktj Greyhound ever again.
there was one incident I'd like to report. Adirondack T team were great. However a Greyhound representative came up to me while I was in line to border suggesting I step out of the line to discuss my ticket - since it was Adirondack not Greyhound. I've taken this route many times and this has never happened. The others in line said I should stay in the line (or they would hold it for me since the line was long. An Adirondack person approached and told me I was fine (and that the Greyhound person didn't know her job or something other than that). What was that all about? I like Adirondack Trailways and continue to use it.
I am very disappointed. I was guaranteed that the bus would arrive to Albany on time. However, the bus arrived an hour and 15 minutes late. I understand that there are unforeseen circumstances that come into play, however as a customer I should be guaranteed that will arrive to my destination on the agreed time.
It was horrible, my bus was supposed to leave at 1:15, and I waited in the line for an hour until it got there because it was over an hour late, and not one employee came over to the people on line to explain the delay Or give us ANY type of information. Not to mention the staff started giving me attitude and didn’t take me in the earlier bus, even though they had room because I asked them a question, worst experience I’ve ever had, will not be using greyhound again
Morning after snow storm Frigid weather. Early train canceled others delayed. Bus warm and on time . Staff friendly ride quiet and comfortable. Bus vs train ... No brainer!
I was disappointed to have to change bus at Albany station.
The driver gave rules but one man dpoke on phone most of trip and driver did not remind him. Hard for passenger to do so.
I travelled with greyhound and Peter Pan as well. Trail ways was the best. I travelled alone with 2 children and only in trailwags the driver helped me load the luggage
Please don't overbook. We had 8 scouts and nearly had to split our group or get off and wait for another bus. It was only because two very kind ladies got off the bus and waited that we made it. Apart from that the service was fabulous.
