Our bus was supposed to leave at 2:30PM, so we got there at 2:00pm. We asked the staff just to be sure we were standing in the right line and showed them our tickets, and were told we were in the right place. When the time was 3:40pm the bus started boarding and someone checked our tickets and they said we missed our bus, we then had to tell them that we had been waiting for over 1 1/2 hours and luckily we got to board another bus. There were also others that was supposed to take the 2:30 bud with us and they never saw the bus eather. This incident made us late for our oppointment in New York.
The driver was rude and said if anyone was gonna speak loud to sit in the back. No one was speaking loud to begin with and he had an attitude for no reason, I payed for the trip even if I was loud I can speak as loud as I want to his job is to drive not to command anyone to shut up or sit in the back. Overall the ride was pretty quick I got back to nyc in 2 hours and a half but it felt quick to me.
it was nice
Bus was more than 1.5 hours late and had to drive to NYC to catch the flight
Bus was very late!
The emergency exit was just above the aisle next to my seat. It leaked constantly as it was a rainy day. Can't you repair the weatherstripping so that is not an issue? Additionally, the toilet paper roll escaped the bathroom and rolled on the wet aisle the entire trip. If the toilet paper roll was fixed in the bathroom so it could not escape, there wouldn't be as much muck in the aisle.
Good buses but terrible customer service.
Very comfortable ride
The bus showed up an hour late and to top it off, there was drama boarding on to the bus.
The staff from the Greyhound station in Rensselaer, NY was very satisfactory & accomodating once they were advised travel partner Joann is handicapped. The restroom in the Rennselaer station however, by comparison to the NYC station restroom, desperately needs attention.
Good service and fast.
Greyhound staff are very impolite towards customers and treat us very very badly. After my experience I can safely say I will never book a trip wktj Greyhound ever again.
My experience was a 0 out of 100. I’m aware that greyhound gives zero shits about being on time, I’m not okay with it, but I’m aware of it. I know that they know that the people taking greyhound are low income, women, children and minorities that have no other options but to take this sad excuse for public transportation. What I was not aware of until this past trip was how horribly the management of these bus stations treat their passengers. A few white men in ties, ignoring questions, slamming the door in confused and upset passengers faces after asking simple questions like “what time does the 8:30am bus get here, it’s 9am sir?” I am sickened and saddened by all of the people that profit off of greyhound services. Busbud is a racist service for profiting off of greyhound. Greyhound is a racist service due to the obvious displays of racism the white, male “management” was projecting. Fuck you BusBud. Fuck you Greyhound. And may all of you pathetic racist sexist cunts rot in deepest deaths of US public transportation hell. I genuinely hope that your children get treated as horribly as myself and every other passenger in that station of treated.;)
DO NOT travel Greyhound, ever! This is by far the worst bus trip I have ever taken. It started with needing to reschedule because when purchased online using a phone, 7/23 was incorrectly posted and needed to be changed to 7/22. Two of us selected the date, and I WITNESSED MY FRIEND SELECT THE CORRECT DATE, 7/22. There was no customer service whatsoever as they just insisted we be charged for the rescheduling. The cost of each ticket was $27.00, and the rescheduling fee was $20.00. nearly the entire cost of the ticket!!! That is outrageous. First, it was not due to human error, as in our fault, and second as with other transportation companies a surcharge is a % of the original ticket price. Thirty minutes speaking to someone in another country was to no avail, and agents at the ticket counter were useless as well. Also, at the Albany, NY station it seems that not one person knew where we were meant to board because we switched doors 3 times, back and forth with luggage and packages. Nice! We were at the front of the line but were refused boarding because those passengers who had originated in Monteal were boarded first. WHY? We paid for a ticket and also paid extra with the surcharge. Where is this stated, and why was this not communicated after a 30 minute rescheduling phone call? And, the station itself was filthy, as were the bathrooms. In addition, there were SAFETY issues: 1. The bus did not have a working PA system so the driver had to yell to us, 2. There were no over head safety lights that run along the ceiling area so the bus was pitch black inside, 3. Both of our seats were broken and we kept sliding off into the aisle, 4. The metal hub around the front tire on the outside of the bus was taped on!, and 5. The driver was both nasty and unwilling to explain/clarify anything when asked, 6. A child was seated next to us with its mother's crying for most of the trip and was allowed to stand in the aisle and move around, but when another family member came to pick up the child and bring it to the front of the bus, the driver yelled to that passenger to bring the child back to the back of the bus. OUTRAGEOUS!!! I have taken many buses from other companies, and trains as well, and never experienced such disregard and ignorance towards customer service and safety.
I had a great experience it was on time and to my benefit it arrived way before expected time
there was one incident I'd like to report. Adirondack T team were great. However a Greyhound representative came up to me while I was in line to border suggesting I step out of the line to discuss my ticket - since it was Adirondack not Greyhound. I've taken this route many times and this has never happened. The others in line said I should stay in the line (or they would hold it for me since the line was long. An Adirondack person approached and told me I was fine (and that the Greyhound person didn't know her job or something other than that). What was that all about? I like Adirondack Trailways and continue to use it.
Bess way to travel
There was a mechanical problem before the bus left but they went anyway and had to turn back delaying me an hour.
I felt safe
I am very disappointed. I was guaranteed that the bus would arrive to Albany on time. However, the bus arrived an hour and 15 minutes late. I understand that there are unforeseen circumstances that come into play, however as a customer I should be guaranteed that will arrive to my destination on the agreed time.
It was horrible, my bus was supposed to leave at 1:15, and I waited in the line for an hour until it got there because it was over an hour late, and not one employee came over to the people on line to explain the delay Or give us ANY type of information. Not to mention the staff started giving me attitude and didn’t take me in the earlier bus, even though they had room because I asked them a question, worst experience I’ve ever had, will not be using greyhound again
Comfortable journey, on time and staff were really helpful.
Small space between seats compared to other bus brands and a rough ride. This in turn caused the ride to be very rough and stiff!

Morning after snow storm Frigid weather. Early train canceled others delayed. Bus warm and on time . Staff friendly ride quiet and comfortable. Bus vs train ... No brainer!
I am pleased, but not about to rave about a simple bus trip from Albany to NYC!
I was disappointed to have to change bus at Albany station. The driver gave rules but one man dpoke on phone most of trip and driver did not remind him. Hard for passenger to do so.
I travelled with greyhound and Peter Pan as well. Trail ways was the best. I travelled alone with 2 children and only in trailwags the driver helped me load the luggage
