Greyhound is a nice bus and it arrieve on time but the problem its the coldness the fan was too much
Staff is amazing. However, greyhound and their general maintenance of their buses is horrible. Bus was stuck for 3 hours due to an oil leak which delayed our departure from Port Elizabeth. It got stuck again in Cradock for 3+ hours due to an oil leak and as a result, I had to organise an alternative transport when the stop surpassed 3 hours. I never made it to my destination(Colesberg)with the bus.
Greyhound use to be the best in the business but now they are amongst the worst bus company, dirty smelly bus, terrible service, the bus driver Thomas was rude, the bus departed 5 hours late, and arrived about 4 hours late ...never again
I did not even get to my destination. I had to find alternative transport as after 2 hours of waiting the greyhound only rocked up at 09h50.. We were supposed to depart at 07h25.
Well 10:30 bus is always late but to my surprise we arrived earlier than record at normal speed it erased the fact that it was late the problem is these no sits or shelter where we wait for the bus so please consider that as well
The bus pick up as very late 0:00 in the mornings Thursday instead of 18:45 Wednesday.as results arriving late at East London at 14:10 am not happy at all about that because I didn’t not go to work because of bus
Greyhound was good but the only problem is to arriving late and not given notification of be aware about what happened with the bus if the going to arrived late
It was the worst bus experience I ever had. The bus was late and we were told to board a different bus (Eldo Coaches) then we were told there is no space and we would have to wait for another bus. Then we were put in a much poorer quality bus that was not worth the R510 I paid (Bloemfontein to King Williams Town). The bus was extremely uncomfortable and I didn't feel safe riding a bus I don't know and that was not my pick. The service from the staff was very poor and unaccommodating. SIMPLY THE WORST!!! Seven hours of my life and money I will never get back. Very disappointed in Greyhound.
The bus got stuck on a steep road about three or more times. It had no strength to move up the uphill roads, instead it almost reversed but the driver managed to stop it. We were told the bus's engine is overhitting. We had to wait for it to cool down every time it stopped on an uphill road. It was scary experience overall. I was rushing for a class at 08:00 but I got to the park station more than 30 minutes late for my class already and I missed the lecture.
No communication was done by Greyhound staff, people were stranded in an unsafe environment & there was not even one staff on site, people even left because they didn’t know what was happening.
This is a horrible company that deserves to be shut down.
The bus broke down at 2:36pm in the middle of no where,I’m writing this review still in the middle of nowhere waiting for help to arrive so we can go home.
We are 5 hours like and when we left Pietermaritzburg it was 2h30 min late know we arrive in Bellville at 13h30 and or arrival time was suppose to be just after 08h30
Toilets spell very badly and nothing was done about it at all. Terrible service never again
I'll never take Citiliner and will never recommend to anyone. I missed the event that was on Friday which had to start at 18h30 as I've arrived in Johannesburg at 21h00
It's completely unethical to have paid for a service where we had to wait 2hrs for the bus to arrive extremely late, and not even be notified of any delays, Our Trip was completely unpleasant to say the least.
We took a bus at durban station and no one informed us that we will take another bus at umtateni tropicana hotel. When we arrived at Johannesburg we had to wait for an hour for greyhound to come pick us up to Pretoria because the bus we were in doesn't travel to Pretoria the bus driver kept on saying if he travel to PA they will shoot him...the whole trip was a mess shame
