Greyhound South Africa User Reviews
Greyhound South Africa receives praise for its punctuality and comfortable seating, with some users appreciating the warmth inside the bus. However, multiple reviews highlight concerns about cleanliness issues such as unpleasant odors from toilets and cockroaches. Additionally, there are mentions of non-functional charging ports and occasional delays in arrival times.
I recently had the pleasure of traveling with Citiliner Bus Company and I must say it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The bus was impeccably clean, the seats were comfortable and the toilets were spotless. What really stood out to me was the attention to detail and customer comfort displayed by the driver. When the temperature dropped, the driver promptly adjusted the AC to ensure everyone stayed warm. This small gesture made a big difference, especially since I hadn't brought any blankets with me. Another aspect that truly impressed me was the driver's commitment to passenger safety and well-being. At each petrol station stop, the driver made sure that every single person was back on the bus before departing. This level of thoroughness and care for passengers' safety is commendable and something I have rarely seen with other bus companies. I highly recommend traveling with Citi Liner Bus Company for a hassle-free and enjoyable journey.

They left a passenger at a bus stop simple because they were not sure if it's their bus it didn't Even stop a sec it drove passed the passenger was shouting for the bus to stop we all heard him calling. Remember we booked a citiliner bus but we were taken by greyhound so it was bound for the passenger to doubt the bus first. I really hated that behavior, I don't know if it's because he was a man because they waited at the station in mtata for some men 3 ladies requested that he should be waited for and was given direction passed time for departure.

I didn't enjoy the driver, he was rude and stopped at some weird place where we couldn't even get food. This was just poor and the driver didn't even alert us that we should get off in Uitenhage.

To be honest, I didn’t enjoy anything about my experience. From the start, the service at Park Station was very poor — we were made to pay for our luggage without it even being weighed, despite the ticket clearly stating that up to 25kg was included. Secondly, the hygiene on the bus was far below the expected standard for a luxury coach. There were cockroaches on board, and the seating arrangements lacked order. Lastly, the drop-off process was very disappointing. I was under the impression that it would be at the same location as the Eagle Bus, but it wasn’t, and I had to make last-minute transport arrangements, which added unnecessary cost. Overall, I was not impressed with the service and found the experience far below Greyhound’s advertised standards.

I chose a sit of my liking for my convenience and comfort and the staff member removed me to allocate me a different one, however the sit I got allocated was rather uncomfortable as it didn't recline. I then requested for a different sit — of which I got but it the charging port was not working. All this, unfortunately, made my trip uncomfortable.
