Security is atrocious at Sacramento station. I had a wheel stolen off a locked bicycle at a place 1 block from a police station. My ticket purchased online at Amtrak.com was invalid. Considering the theft, I had to cancel the trip. Amtrack agreed to give me a refund. The ticket was not refunded to me but was instead given to a mysterious third party called Silverrail that I never heard from before. The agent told me that the amount was inflated above normal Amtrak ticket price, and was reported to be paid on American Express. I do not have an American Express account.
