i would recommend Catarinense to any of my friends, the staff was very friendly, the bus and stations were extremely clean. the seats were super comfortable and the wifi was amazing!!
It was very uncomfortable, my seat was broken and the bus driver did nothing to find a remedy. It was extremely cold because the air conditioning worked all the time during the night, in winter and no blankets were provided. I caught a cold. The driver was using his phone to talk while driving, at the same time he was smoking, despite smoking was prohibited. I will never, ever use pluma again.
Paid extra for the leito option/ free drink/ private bathroom and entertainment - the seats were bigger and comfortable however no free drink or entertainment and there was just one toilet onboard everyone was using! Not happy for paying a lot extra and did not receive. The light above my head did not work either so was unable to read my book.
The bus broke down at 1030pm and all passengers were left to sit on the bus at a gas station for 5 hours without anyone explaining anything to us. I had paid extra for this bus to have a more comfortable seat and to arrive at Foz do Iguaçu early enough to enjoy my day. A second bus that was already full of passengers arrived and we were made to move our bags to that bus and wake people up to share seats. We arrived more than 5 hours late to our destination with absolutely no compensation.
I was charged 290reals on 2 occasions for a ticket to iquacu because I missed my transfer in São Paulo following my bus arriving 2.5 hours late in São Paulo. This resulted in me and my friends having to find a place to stay in São Paulo. I did try and exchange my ticket as well and I was inside of the window with which this was allowed but this request was denied for an unknown reason. Following this I was fined a further 45reals for missing the first bus even though it was completely out of my control. The man in the ticket office was very unhelpful as well.
bus confortable but the driver and his teamate where not nice and always forgotting to turn on the wifi after every pause. To finish the flush was not working.
It was a great bus. The only thing was all the noise when people got of in the middle of the night. It was not possible to sleep all night trough even in “1st class”
The bus was comfortable, but as it came from Rio, we had used blanket and pullow on one seat, and no blanket on the second seat. It arrived and left São Paulo very late. Toilets were sub-standard
I think the bus got there on time, but there was another bus in our platform so we had to wait for them to leave. We left Sao Paulo at 9:15 instead of 9:00. We got to Iguazu on time
Got the bottom floor, was very spacious. With an overnight bus that started at 9pm from Sao Paulo and arrived at 4pm Foz De Iguacu, went well, stopped many times for bathroom, 1 time for a 20 minute mid morning food break. AC worked well, had a few snacks on board. Pillow and blanket provided. Bathroom on board worked well, just needed to bring your own toilet paper. Overall good experience.
Overall a good bus trip from Sao Paulo to Iguazu. Only problem was we didn't know how long the breaks were but I guess we should of learnt a bit more Portuguese. Comfy bus and bus arrived on time. Felt very safe.
The bus itself and the staff were great but the bus arrived late by about 45 minutes and arrived late to our destination by 3 hours which meant we had to cancel plans we had for that afternoon, which considering we only had 1 full day apart from the day we were arriving in Foz do Iguaçu, we were very dissatisfied.
Bus was comfortable and arrived perfectly on time my only complaints are that the stops were at the wrong times like 2am rather than 10am when a break to get food would have been appreciated rather than being woken in the middle of the night. The temperature of the bus was another issue as it was very cold on board luckily I had enough clothes but still felt the cold.
No plug sockets, wifi only available with CPF number quite discriminatory to foreigners? The bus was three hours late, staff chose to ignore me than try understand me asking a simple question like how long do we stay for a break ? Not impressed.
The bus broke down after 2 hours in to the trip, because it was leaking from the back. We did not get any information of what happens or when a solotuon would come. So everybody had to sit at the side of the highway and just wait in the middle of the night. After over three hours a new bus came. We got to Foz de Iguazu 4,5h later than we should have. That means 1.5h extra delayed than the three hours we waited for a new bus. Zero information, no one apologizing and no compensation. Over all very disappointing!
My seat was a little bit uncomfortable and the bus has not charge points availables and I haven't charge for my cellphone so I had to wait for arriving Foz to get connection.
The bus was an hour late and arrived 3 hours late. Stopped so many times for no apparent reason on half the occasions even though we were running late. Consequently missed most of the day to explore iguazu falls so very disappointed.
