The drivers did not treat passengers well and there where adding passengers from other buses which had no Delta tickets. Did not stop for recess and speeding a lot.
First I booked greyhound but was put off n a different bus. Secondly I almost missed because no one at the station that alerted us of the bus other than the branded greyhound bus that we must board. So I waited until I saw the line of my fellow travelers to Capetown was almost finished be for u asked about the bus to cpt. As it arrived more that 30 minutes late for departure, every stop was like a nightmare. We’re told 20mins refreshment intervals by they all lasted more than 30 mins. When I complained to the driver they never did anything to the passengers who where drunk and each stop wanted to smoke marijuana. Jumping on and if the bus as we waited. The drive never too charge or control at the point. Hence we arrived 15:25 on Bellville station who was supposed to be 11:00am. More than 4hrs delayed. That was a very bad experience since it was my first time to book with greyhound bus.
Bus is always late and for some reason we have to board the bus in the station then get off and onto a different bus outside. Apparently the new buses aren't registered or something. Oh the stops along the way are the worst, we stopped at some somali looking shop for refreshments instead of your normal freshstops.
The only thing that would be a value add from my trip would be if the power points to charge the price worked on the bus and they didn't, some people's points were working, but very few
Never using it again. The bus arrived two hours late, did not have charging ports or adjustable seats, it broke down on the side of the road for 4 hours. If it wasn't for the citiliner bus that came we would have been stuck there till the following day
I was very disappointed because this is the second time the bus arrives late in 1 months. And got a break down for more than 6 hours .As I am writing this email I am still in the road whilst I was supposed to be in Cape town at 8am now it's 1230pm .
The staff did handle us with honor we nearly got left behind with the bus after I even asked conductor to help us find Cape Town bus it was a nightmare, I don't think I will use Eldo again. The service is just poor the bus was 3hours late so disappointing
Greyhound is not the same at all. First of all the seat number system was not implemented because i booked the bus because i was hoping to get that service.
Second of all the bus was noisy and it was terrible. There was a sound just after the driver's sit and was unbearable.
Thirdly the fact that the cockroaches were have fun in bus was unacceptable.
Lastly the drivers were friendly, humbled and thier driving was excellent 👌👌👌.
The overall comment i would not ride with Greyhound buses again as they are no longer the same like my Greyhound before liquidation. I didn't enjoy the ride, maybe if it was greyhound not citiliner would have been better.
I feel like delta coaches stand a great chance at providing an exceptional service, if only they could be more organized. The drivers to be more accommodating with passengers in terms of meetings their needs.
I'm very disgusting with the service the bus was supposed to leave at 18h00 only at 19h50 a message came thro that theirs a delay and that passengers should wait at their pickup points which is not good enough. Instead of saying what time more or less the bus will be there. I was asking just about everyone I think that's working for the bus company's what time the bus would be there but they could not help and some very arrogant telling just wait for the bus. I then went to the Eldos kiosk at about20h30 asking the attendant if she can find out wt time the bus would be there the then said she has no contact and that she only does bookings for passengers. I then went back to the same lady about 21h00 and ask her how can I make contact with Greyhound then only she produced me with a pamphlet with a no which she could have done the first time, I called the no the lady answered and said she will try and trace the bus, after 9min keeping me on hold she said that the bus is in the wasbay, and thus us the bus that was now supposed to be 3 hours on his journey to Cape Town. At 21h30 my wife called in again and a gentleman said the bus is now been fumigated for cockroaches,And that the bus would be there by 21h45. The bus arrived at 22h15 and my grand daughter could board the bus, I then called her asking how the trip is going she said that the bus is crawling with cockroaches. I always knew that Greyhound was the best bus company ever but after last night's experience I cannot recommend anyone to make use of your service
Depature time was at 7pm but the bus was late and only left after 11pm. This is a huge inconvenience as there is no place to sit and wait. There was also no regular updates from Delta on the delay. Real bad customer service. Will not use Delta in the future.
I wouldn't recommend it to anyone ...we got stuck in the middle of nowhere because the bus ran out of petrol
The bags weren't packed in a correct order we also had to put them in ourselves.
We travelled for more than 24 hours
They need to to learn to keep time everytime and make sure they have a spare tyre on the bus with them to avoid unnecessary delays and insecurities at unsafe places during breakdowns
