We were lucky to be put on earlier bus. Got off at Heathrow.
Was surprised our very nice (female) driver had to do everything solo at Gatwick - check tickets, do all the luggage stowing and then drive us. A brilliant one man show.
Overall it was a good experience. My only observation is that the driver did not give any warning of arriving at Hammersmith - my destination. He announced the arrival as we were stopping. I ended up scrabbling to get off - I was the only one getting off there.
I am very grateful to NE for the service when trains were on strike. It was strange however that people were not allowed on the coach without tickets and were left stranded at Gatwick - there were c. 12 passengers on the coach.
The booking was easy and they contacted me a couple of days before boarding to print out my ticket. The staff at Gatwick were very helpful and allowed me to board an earlier bus. The trip itself, on a sullen rainy day, was smooth and the driving was excellent. We arrived on time. Helped me beat the train strike.
My experience was great. Especially as we had a fantastic driver who took time to help with our queries, whilst being vigilant about time keeping. He balanced everything fantastically. It's a shame that I did not get his name...but thanks driver.
Horrible, no prior warning the bus which on the bus display board at Gatwick was on schedule simply disappeared. We found out after 40 minutes on a freezing night through an internet search that it had been cancelled. Waited 4 hours for the next service!
I am totally agree with the service of Nation Express bus.
I missed my first bus because my flight was delayed.
Yesterday I arrived later than the time I booked the bus. A staff of national express helped me a lot.
I would recommend my family and friends in case of need use National bus services.
We had buss from Gatwick to London, and it supposed to leave at 10:55am, but there was some lovely stuff telling us that we can leave at 10:00am with the straight bus to London. We loved that!
The coach was late; information on electronic boards showed bus as not arriving at all (it was after midnight by this time) - not good. Was considering alternatives when it finally arrived. Drivers honoured the precooked tickets only and made provision for two vulnerable (underage) passengers who had non compliant (third party booked) tickets. Nat Exp needs to ensure that these can’t be booked if they’re not going to be honoured. Being stranded at gatwick would not have been a pleasant experience on a Saturday night during a strike.
Unfortunately we coincided with the national train strike otherwise I’m sure it would have all been pretty good. Maybe increase the wifi amount on the journey if delays are occurring?
