The bus arrived 45 mins late, there was an issues with the number of people on the bus so they made us get off and reboard and after almost an hour of this we finally got going, only to have the roof leak the entire ride
Great ride though I was surprised we picked up more riders in Binghampton.
The bus station in Washington Heights was not crowded which is a plus but it is inconvenient in that it requires a subway or bus to midtown.
A stop by Penn Station on the west side or Grand Central on the east would be better.
The bus got a flat after around an hour of driving and we had to pull up to a gas station and wait for over an hour for a person to come fix it. That in itself wasn’t really OurBus’s fault, though it could have been prevented by simply maintaining the bus better
Station staff could be a bit more responsive and courteous when customer asks for departure gate informatio etc.
Announcements made are barely audible.
Finally,on a recent trip from New York to Ithaca on Greyhound/Traikways I had to get off on a street stop. The driver made me kneel under the luggage cabin to take out my small bag rather than helping with it. I have a bad right knee and after this incident my knee problem got exacerbated.
The bus driver was nice, but when the bus broke down didn’t have great communication so no one knew what was going on for quite a while, then halfway through the journey he stopped again like the bus had broken down, again no communication.
The New York Trailways ride is nice, as the humor of the driver is a good touch and therefore joyful experience; also, even when it maybe a factor that makes the trip go longer, the stops at eating places are nice. Even though some buses maybe different from others (for instance, on mine some seats were lacking seatbelts) and not always the same environment, the interiors are comfy and wide, clean restrooms and in my case, the bus arrived at the destination about three minutes early. It was good.
The bus was extremely cold, and the problem was not resolved even though several passengers asked the driver to do something about it. I caught a cold after the trip. A secondary problem was that the seats were very narrow with very little legroom.
OurBus is customer focused. I had such a pleasant ride. The driver was courteous and professional and the bus was extremely comfortable. The bus left on time and I arrived to my destination early!
The whole operation from start to finish was efficient and the drivers, (I also went from NYC to Ithaca on ay 14th) were exceptionally skilled and put my "mature" mind at ease. Courtesy was found throughout my experience, including a call to Customer Service verifying my pickup spot in Ithaca. Many thanks.
The bus was stuck on the highway, we were waiting for 1.5 Hours to a mechanic only to find out he couldn't fix the problem, we've waited another 30 minutes for another company's bus to pick us up (it wasn't a bus that was sent especially to pick us up, just a bus that went through that place). The bus had to pick up passenger on the way, so obviously it was very crowded.
So far the company didn't offer any apology or Compensation.
What a disappointing experience riding with GreyHound the first time. Was not notified about the bus stop location change until getting to the stop and the bus was delayed for nearly two hours. Will not ride with the company again.
Only once boarded we learn that we will have to stop to change bus
Then we stop to pick up other people and this was without notice
Then the bus had a “soft”tire but the driver went to the wrong workshop first.
His communication was poor and always wrong.
I couldn't find the outlets the driver said we had, but I'm sure he would have told me how to find them if I needed them. Otherwise, everything was exactly as expected, and the bus was about 25 minutes early getting in.
