My boyfriend and I were boarded on one bus sitting in our appropriate seats. As we approached the first stop the bus driver made us get off the bus get our luggage (with no assistance) and go to another one because there was issue with boarding too many people. We then were not allowed to sit together as we were forced to sit with random people even though we booked seats together, resulting in uncomfortable ride.
The bus was advertised as having toilet on board. There was no toilet and driver didn't stop for toilet break. Also driver didn't stop to have safety rest during that period.
Bus was also advertised as having charging outlets. This was not the case.
Bus was on time picking us up in Portimao but there was a long wait at Albufeira and we were delayed getting in to Lisbon. The driver seemed to argue with a lot of other passengers getting in the bus which was unpleasant. He even wanted one passenger to put her small dog in the luggage compartment instead of on the bus with her! It seems like our bus seats were also double booked as some other passengers had the same seat numbers as us printed on their tickets as well.
A very comfortable and relaxing trip. It would have been nice if an announcement was made telling those on board that they had arrived at their final destination. I had to ask a fellow passenger if I had arrived at my destination or if it was a stop along the way to it. Otherwise it was perfect.
I think it is great service and much quicker than the train. The pick-up point at Praia de Roca is not obvious, there is a plain EVA sign but, a bit more information at the bus stop would give passengers more confidence that the bus actually going to stop there.
