Buses are clean and function well. The buses shake less than those in Scotland. No toilets. Announcements only in Portuguese. Not well suited to the elderly or disabled, includiing those with invisible disabilities.
Despite the driver having minimal understanding of English, he made a lot of effort to help before the bus ride and then afterwards, when I had left my cell phone on the bus, to get the phone back to me.
Very comfortable ride. No stops along the way, not crowded, free wifi, electrical outlet below seats, and air conditioning - it was a luxurious ride fit for kings and queens.
The AC on the bus wasn’t working which really ruined most of the ride. The bus felt like a sauna and it was hard to rest or relax. Near the end of the trip the bus driver ended up opening the window which helped a little but overall not the greatest experience.
For 10€ it was an amazing deal honestly. Don’t take my feedback too critically, just things that could be done to improve but I would definitely use your service again.
The bus driver left me at a stop in Fatima and I ended up losing my backpack because of that... He didn't specify the time he would stop and left without making sure everyone in the bus was back! Really bad
The driver was not paying attention and driving erratically, blaming other drivers for situations he should have seen and avoided.
Our driver from Lagos to Lisbon was far better.
Not the greatest experience
The bus left later than supposed to and during the trip there was a huge and continuous loud noice . Everyone got upset and only in the end the bus driver tried to restart the engineer to make the loud noice to stop, thanks to a passenger that went to talk to him!!!
The driver appeared very tired, yawned, went over the divider line several times as well as on the right side off road by the guard rail. We observed him taking out his cell and looking at it while in his hand. Sometimes he drove with just his forearm so his hands were freer to put his earbuds in his ears or put on his sunglasses. Also looked over at his co pilot to converse as he was driving. This was actually better as we at least knew that would help him stay awake.
We avoided taking another bus for the rest of our time there, as our return trip was not positive either. The driver drove very aggressively.
It was nice ride, only bus air-conditioning got wrong so we needed to wait another bus in Fatima, but it arrived quite fast. Overall it was OK experience
It's cheap, but the location of pick up is not well defined and it's a bit hard to find the bus. It had a delay of 30 min, it would be nice to at least tell to passengers, because we were worried we missed tje bus and asked every bus driver if he is going to Porto.
I was pleasantly surprised. We had a new bus, a very safe driver and it was the easiest and cheapest bus ride. The only negative was there was no bathroom, but once we got to the bus station, we had one there. The driver even offered to stop. I know there were some negative reviews from people about taking RedeExpress, but from Lisbon to Porto, it was great!
With an exterior temperature of +33°c it was natural that a brief period of travel time would be necessary before the air cooling could be effective. Some passengers would not wait so driver called for a replacement bus. In the common interest of reducing human impact through energy consumption I'm completely contrary to this excessive use of energy to cool/heat interior environments. Not to speak about the stress that sudden temperature places on our human organism.
