Bus Tickets from Philadelphia, PA to Washington, DC, US

My flixbus journey today was unfortunately really bad. I have travelled with flixbus many times however this trip was awful. I was travelling from Philadelphia to Washington DC. The bus broke down in a gas station, in the centre lane of a multi lane highway, on the side of the highway and again at a gas station off the highway. The driver didn't communicate with the passengers at all and therefore we had no idea what was going on. When broken down for the final time, we had to wait 2 hours for alternative transport. The bus driver only communicated this about half an hour before the other bus was due to arrive. We then boarded the other bus which was now full and the air conditioning did not work. There was absolutely no communication from the driver of the first bus until he said that there was another one on its way. All of this lead to the journey taking 3 hours longer than expected (and the journey was only supposed to be 3 hours to begin with). Due to the late arrival, I was not able to check in at my accommodation as the desk had closed, I had to sort alternative arrangements costing me $31 on top of the $40 I had already spent on the room I could no longer use. Additionally, I had to get an Uber to the accommodation which cost $12 dollars because of the late arrival time, I could not safely make my way to my accommodation as I am not familiar with the area, it was late and I am a young female travelling alone. I'm very disappointed with this journey and hope flixbus will try to resolve some of these issues. Both buses were also dirty and the power outlets didn't work on either bus, and as stated before the AC was broken on the second bus leading to us travelling with the emergency exit on the roof open.

The AC did not work, so the temperature in the bus was 90 degrees. The chargers for mobile phones did not work...

We didn’t actually get the bus because we booked an 11am bus which was confirmed for 11am by email the day prior. A bus arrived just after 10am and we checked with the driver who waved us away. We had to walk to the greyhound station and catch and pay for another bus.

The bus did not show up on time! I had somewhere to be, shortly after 5 PM when the bus was supposed to arrive. And then, there was no signage or information posted about the appropriate place to stand to catch the bus when I arrived. I didn’t hear one of the Greyhound employees when he allegedly screamed that the bus had arrived and was told to “hurry up” before I missed it when he had not given timely or proper notification of the bus’s arrival.

Philadelphia - no one is sure if they in the right waiting line. Use of PA system needed to know which bus is leaving when.

Absolutely useless! Multiple buses delayed with no staff around to give any assistance to passengers. Our bus stopped on the middle of the highway to eject a passenger which took an hour. It later stopped again and staff refused to leave because they said they could smell cannabis on the bus and we were told we would have to wait for a drugs dog to search the bus. Police never came. 3 hour trip took 5 hours due to poor judgement and bad organisation. Don't use Greyhound buses!

Peter Pan over Greyhound in my opinion, this bus was a deal and I wish they ran more peter pan. I like that they kept the trip time significantly shorter and with less stops than the greyhound version of the same bus. Bus had plenty of space and the staff was also nice.

While I was impressed that the bus was on time, the bus driver was incredibly rude to several of the bus patrons, demanding complete silence whenever someone spoke, or at one point, coughed. He would get on the loud speaker and tell people to be quiet every time anyone got on the phone, regardless of whether or not they were loud. There were also two times during the ride where he was such an aggressive driver that other cars had to pull off the road to avoid a collision with the bus.

I was super confused at the bus station in Philly because i couldn't found my bus at the screen. Unfortunately, the staff wasn't really helpful by supporting me with that. Then, there was an announcement, that the bus will be 45 min late, but after 45 minutes, the bus didn't arrive and nobody knew when it will come.

driver was good but seemed to have a lot of confusion and difficulty with matters regarding the situation.

My bad review mostly comes from the traffic that was experienced that day but the Wi-Fi on board needs serious improvement. My computer would connect but the connection was awful and I ended up losing work in the process.

It was my first time to send thierno bus comptant and I like it. The drive was kind smith passengers. The 30 minute délayé was due to roadster workshops and nobody complained.
