My trip was the worst ever. I boarded Bus No 905 in Harrismith, hoping that the bus was passing through Bloemfontein, which was my destination. In Bethlehem the bus branched off and took another route towards Fouriesburg and bypassed Bloemfontein. The crew only transferred me to another bus (Bus 230), which was travelling to Gauteng via Bloemfontein. The transfer took place in Colesburg, after I had called your offices. When I asked the crew to explain why they had bypassed Bloemfontein they made fun out of me and insisted that I had been asleep, hence I didn't notice that the bus had passed through Bloemfontein. I know Bloemfontein because I live there. I asked them to show me a single passenger whom they had picked in Bloemfontein as evidence to show that they had passed through the city, but they could not show me a single person whom they had picked there. As a result of all this lack of professionalism my journey last at least 6 more hours that it could have taken. I arrived in Bloemfontein around 3.30 am today (2 November 2024), instead of the scheduled time, which was 9:15 pm yesterday (1 November 2024). While we were still in Harrismith the crew told us that the official language that we should communicate in was IsiZulu and stated that this was company policy. I took this to be a joke, but it is likely that they may have communicated in that language when rescheduling the trip for Bloemfontein bound passengers, so I missed the instructions.

I enjoyed travelling and the music, but the toilets sometimes were reeking of unpleasant smell. It wasn't long term, but those few moments were uncomfortable.

My bus was scheduled for 1:30am it only arrived at 02:45 and the drivers were so rude, they told me not to sit in the front seats cause they want to sleep, I went to the back seats and discovered that there wasn’t any space, got back on the front seat with my luggages and they told me that I only want to disturb them.

My ticket said departure was 1:25am and I was there by 00:40, only for the bus to arrive at 2:25am and I was there clueless as to why the bus wasn’t there. I had to call intercity to enquire and only then did they tell me my bus was delayed. My ticket said I will be travelling with intercity express but I travelled with intercity connect which was much smaller. Also we got stuck at a one stop station where they poured diesel but they couldn’t let the bus leave because apparently they had to wait for head office to authorise the order. So the petrol station basically held the bus hostage. When we finally could leave, the bus wouldn’t start for about 30 minutes. The bus drivers were friendly though.

Big Sky Harrismith Bloemfontein recent customer reviews
It was an hour late and the driver was shouting at me for asking if I should board even if the bus is an Intercape but my ticket indicated BigSky.
The 4 front seats were reserved for the 1 driver and I was forced to sit next to the toilet even though there were 3 empty seats infront.
