What to know before traveling with Eagle Liner
Before hopping on the bus, there are a few things you should know. For starters, passengers need to arrive at the departure point 30 minutes before the departure time shown on the tickets. To board the bus, passengers also need to show a valid ID or specific travel documents for cross-border journeys.
It's also important to note that Eagle Liner aims to offer a pleasant and comfortable ride, but cannot assure the availability of all amenities on each bus. Passengers have noted occasional malfunctioning power outlets, and delays caused by traffic or mechanical issues are common.
While providing some of the most affordable bus fares in the region, it should be noted that the cost of Eagle Liner tickets is indicative of the level of service to be expected.

The bus didn't even arrive. I waited 3 hours in the cold!! And when i called them, they said the driver didn't know that he had a pick-up in harrismith.
The service was extremely poor. Loud music was played the whole night without consulting passengers if they were comfortable with it. Some of us could not sleep at all. The bus was supposed to arrive in joburg at 06:10. That’s the reason why we chose it in the first place because we had an appointment at 8. We arrived at 8:00 and missed the appointment
There’s really nothing I enjoyed about my trip with Eagle liner. Firstly, the bus was late. We were supposed to depart at 18:45 but we departed at 19:07 as a result I arrived later than anticipated at Mount Frere and I was almost late for my class. When arriving at places where we have to drop people off, the bus driver and his assistant were not audible enough when announcing where we are. We had to ask from other passengers what they were saying. The bus doesn’t have a toilet inside, so at some point we had to make stops for people to go relieve themselves. Overall I wouldn’t recommend travelling with Eagle liner.
Toilets were out of order.we were sitting in a bus smelling urine which is unhygienic and very wrong to our health. The bus was 45 mins late and to people who don't know they are getting off the driver couldn't speak properly with us
I didn't enjoy my trip. The window that was adjacent to my seat was not airtight. I was was cold the whole time. I tried communicating it with my bus driver but he just looked at me and didn't respond. Worst part is that he had a tape he was using to seal his own window. He didn't seem to care about my window, he only cared about himself...customer service was very poor.
I didn't even get to have a journey because my bus left me, yes I was 5 min late but not even a phone call to ask how far I am. Ontop of that I try to make contact but no luck, the numbers were unavailable until 30 min later. When I got ahold of someone eventually, there was no apology or them transferring me to another of their buses. My money had gone to waiste and I am never even looking their way again 🙌and will not be recommending it to anyone I know
Well everything was fine until the driver switched on the aircond and it was so called , however i managed to go through to him to inform him about the aircond and he switched it off
I'm happy I was successfully booked but the bus was very late,2hrs late and another bus arrived instead of eagle liner, the was no apology,no explanation what so ever, that made me so unhappy, but we arrived on time, safe.
Very bad
I was there 15 min prior to my departure and the bus was an hour late
Was suppose to be there by 7 and get to cape town past 8
I got to work 11h o clock this morning
Eagle liner has very poor service. They are not reliable in terms of pick up time and drop off. As my bus was for 16:05 afternoon but ended up arriving at 22:20 at night... All alone at the bus station at night and no clear communication as to what's happening. I called their customer service, they are not picking up.
My bustrip time was suppose to be at 18h15 om Wednesday e ending, only departed on Thursday morning 03h30. Just imagine sitting in the cold with a 8yr old at Bloemfontein tourism Centre.
I booked 2 tickets for a bus that was supposed to take of at 2 from cape town to queenstown and when I got to the bus station at past 1 I was told that the bus was canceled and I had to wait 4 hours to get the one that left at 6
I enjoyed the most to charge my phone and the bus was warm. I was not happy coz I booked for 3 passengers and we've got different seats far from each other and my 4 year old didn't have a seat
Horrible journey. waited 2 and a half hours for the bus, got picked up by another, was not allowed to choose a seat. I sat next to a lady who had a child old enough to have a seat which means there were 3 of us on a space meant for 2.
It was my first time to be in that are, I have booked to depart in Engcobo. The bus never arrived. Then called the first time and a very cheaky lady told me to go to Queenstown which is 190km from Engcobo. And I will get an 20h00 of which was a lie. This second I called told me that it leaves at 18h38. I thank that lady she even made an effort to contact the manager for me. And the payed me R140 back of which I spent R230 to get to Queenstown from Engcobo
The bus was an hour late, was supposed to leave at 2:10 Am but got there at 3:00. That messed up my whole day, cause i knew ill get to Grahamstown 7:40 but instead it was 9:00.
Worse experience ever. Shocking how poor your updates and responses are. Your main contact number does not exist anymore. My workers was supposed to be on site in Stellenbosch this morning. They are only at 3 Sisters now. Poorest busline I ever dealt with !!!
The bys bus was late for an hour after it came they said it has a problem they will wait for mechanic to fix it, we stayed for 5 hours of waiting till another bus come to recharge the battery of our bus. It was a bad experience, I will never book eagle liner again
