Great ride and service! . Only thing is that it was cold in the bus! I think the AC on. Everyone had their jackets off at first but I noticed as well over time people were putting their jackets back on.
The bus driver was very rude and unkind.
He turned air conditioner so we were very cold. So I asked him to turn on the heater and he said “no”. The bus temperature was 16 at that time. I always carry one thermometer. I took a photo that he turned the air conditioning. And he blocked the first row passenger seat with a gabage can but I need the seat as I am senior handicaped. So I asked him if I could seat there but he said “no”. A man yielded his place to so I could sit behind the driver. Later when a young get on the bus, he removed the blocked garbage can volunteerly and offered to sit the first seat what he prohibited seat to me. The driver reserved the seat for her.
Bus never arrived to Montreal. Everything was fine from Mont -Laurier to Mont-Tremblant. Then we changed bus driver and started loosing time. We arrived late at St-Sauveur. After St-Jérôme an alarm sounded and the Bus driver stopped on the side of the Highway. He started to speak very loudly with his support team about hot tires while walking up an down the aile in panic mode, not explaining anything to the passengers. We were listening to everything being said between him and his support. It was obvious bus driver was very inexperienced. We stopped on the side of the highway and
he did not even think to put any warning triangle or signal behind the bus to avoid and accident. Only after over 10-15 min or so did his support team over the phone remind him of basic security measures. After that we stopped at a gas station for some reason then the driver said casually we are going to Laval to exchange bus. In the end bus dropped us at Cartier metro station. Nothing was officially explained by the bus driver. Never a word of apology. It was just Terrible service and we were just relieved to get of this stressful ride with a ridiculous driver who needs more training before taking charge of customers.
I purchased my ticket at 10:34- My bus ticket stated bus would pass at 11:10. stood at the bus stop from 10:49 to 11:50 thinking the bus might be late due to the snowstorm. bus never came. There was no cover. I was soaked and chilled.
If the bus passed early I should never had been sold the ticket.
I gave a poor review because, even though I was sitting right in front of the gate 20 minutes early for the bus, and even saw it standing there waiting for people to board for that whole time, when it was time to board, I heard and saw nothing. I saw nobody board the bus. Nobody called us to get onto the bus. There were two gates right beside each other, where several people were waiting. It was impossible for me to tell who was waiting for which bus because there were not two clear lines, just a gathering of people clustered around the two side-by-side gates. There was nobody at departure time saying 'all aboard' or something like that. One minute I am looking at the clock and it is 7:09 (the departure time was 7:10) and nobody is getting on the bus, even though there are several people waiting. I assume that it is not ready to board for some reason, so do not think anything of it. I must have not been looking at the gate at the precise time that the bus left, because when I looked at the clock again, it was 7:15, and the bus had left without me! I was so upset. Perhaps it was nobody's fault... I don't know. But I am used to some indication that it is time to board and that the bus is about to leave. It was really strange and I was quite devastated to miss the bus. I have never missed a bus in my life. Please have your people say "All Aboard"! In English or French. It doesn't matter. Both languages are fine.
When I asked if the driver could retrieve my bag at a hang luggage only stop, I was treated with such disrespect that I couldn’t even believe it was happening. When I tried to explain, he told me he would help me if I spoke to him in French even though it was clear it was not my strong language. When I did so, he repeated himself about not being able to open the bottom of the bus and started to drive. I understand completely that those are the bus policies but I was extremely surprised that staff would try to embarrass me intentionally by causing a scene when he could have just explained politely. I am seriously distressed by this incident.
Busbud is a bus and train search tool—we include Galland routes, schedules and prices in our searches, along with many other train and bus companies. You can compare prices, amenities and times by searching for a route. If you find a suitable trip, you can go ahead and get your Galland ticket from us. Note that train tickets sell out, Galland and other operators generally charge a lot more for last-minute tickets or for tickets bought in person.
