The company has been working to reinstate passenger rail travel in Ontario, after the service was shut down in 2012. While new routes are not added to their itineraries, their trains connect the cities Cochcrane and Moonsonee with the Polar Bear Express train - which is the only way to get there without flying.
Departing from Cochrane at 9 am, the train arrives in Moosonee at 2:00 pm. The return journey from Moosonee starts at 5 pm and reaches Cochrane at 10:00 pm, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing trip back. The Polar Bear Express operates throughout the year, offering service on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. However, during the peak season from June 25th, 2023, to October 20th, 2023, an additional train departure is added on Sundays to accommodate the increased demand during that time.

Passengers can definitely board with a copy of the ticket (e-ticket) on their mobile devices. If you do not have a mobile device you can get access to the bus by providing your government-issued ID. Remember, the name on the ticket should match the name on the ID.
Passengers are free to leave the bus whenever it has stopped for a break. The bus rests or stops are usually 15 minutes long. The bus operator will give you an exact time before opening the doors. This makes it the perfect opportunity for passengers to grab a snack or refreshment.
