The bus had a mechanical breakdown that led to a delay part way thru the trip. Me and two other passengers had to be at the Chicago airport by 6pm, which was not possible had we waited for the next bus or for the repair technician to fix the broken fan belt. It cost us hundreds of dollars, each to pay for an Uber car to continue the journey to Chicago.

I take Greyhound fairly frequently, and with weather I understand that delays are bound to happen. However this time the bus was 5 hours late with minimal to no updates while waiting, which severely, negatively impacted my day and any plans I had had.

I was incredibly dissatisfied. Our bus was already an hour late and then only had 10 seats for 30+ ticketed customers. The driver of the first bus told us not to worry and that another one would be coming for the rest of us. Greyhound was called and could not confirm this or give us an arrival estimate. Staff at the station did not have any helpful information. The bus eventually showed up 3 hours after scheduled. At one point the bus driver got lost and asked passengers for directions.

Our Amtrack experience is satisfying but we missed our flixbus return trip because when we go to the Amtrak station the flixbus is not there as what your busbad agent instruct us.
