The bus arrived late and only departed Cape Town after 21h15, following multiple unscheduled detours. Approximately 50km before Bloemfontein, the bus was stopped at a roadblock and it was discovered that the operating permit was invalid. The driver misled passengers, falsely claiming he did not know why the bus was stopped. Several passengers had no passports or identification and were removed by officials. The bus was escorted to Lengau Testing Centre in Bloemfontein and detained for several hours. Officials were preparing to issue a R12,000 fine for non-compliance, which was later reduced to R2,300 after intervention by another passenger. The owner of Atlantic Star Bus paid the fine, confirming regulatory enforcement. The bus had no working air-conditioning and the engine was left idling for hours, raising serious roadworthiness concerns. By 13h30, the bus was still detained and there was no certainty of lawful continuation. I was forced to arrange alternative transport and paid R258.00 for an Uber. I arrived more than 7 hours late.

I only enjoyed that they were on time,the bus was cold the whole night air conditioning not working,& there was uncontrollable cold air coming from air conditioning

Very unprofessional. The bus arrived late and departed late. We didn't even make it to our destination and they refused to give us our refunds when the bus broke down for over 12 hours. We stayed there without food for hours. Even had to pay extra money without compensation from them. I strongly advise that no one should take use this bus service.

Atlantic bus services are crooks. 1st the ticket was non-refundable and non-exchangeable. The bus didn’t arrive at all at the station. I had to go back home. Till today no one contacted me from Atlantic bus. CROOKS! CROOKS! CROOKS!

Atlantic buses company are crooks. Very disorganised, not easy to communicate to them when in need. They did not tell me or ask me if it would be okay by me if they organised another bus for. After being at the station for almost 30 minutes, only then I got another alternative. Very poor service I must say. I’m very sad that I bought a return ticket and it’s non refundable otherwise I wanted to organise another bus.
