The bus was scheduled to leave at 09.00 but when collecting tickets at 08.15 we were told that it would be 09.30. It left promptly at 09.30. A 2 hour delay passing through border control, Argentina, meant we didn't arrive in Mendoza until 17.00.
Very good drivers but no one could explain in English anything about the journey. We have to accept that languages are not our strong point but a printed note would have helped.
Fantastic scenery, wouldn't wanted to have missed it.
Everything was fine! Until I realised when I arrived at my hostel that stuff was taken from my backpack. A speaker, a deck of cards and a piece of my hiking poles for christ sake. It must have happend at the border control or something. But I don’t like it one bit.
Bus ride was nice and calm with a beautiful view. Arrived a little early in Mendoza which was great! Food provided is not the best but that’s okay, just bring your own snacks. Overall really good experience.
the trip was great but had nothing other than ticketing to do with Nevada. The kiosk at the station was closed and it turned out the bus was run by another company. only the help of a member of station security got me to the right place for a non-Nevada bus. just a confusing mess.
terrible waiting time at the border crossing!!
We got no information and just were in a que for more than an hour.
Communicatief would-be have helped.
Service in bus was good!
Excellent service. Left on time and arrived much earlier than planned. The border was a gong show but that’s on them not Andesmar. Very safe and reliable drivers on our trip too. We were very impressed.
Well we left late. Then an hour driving from Santiago we returned because the pass was closed. I think cata should have known prior to that the pass was closed and they should have sent emails to clients/passengers even before we got to the bus station
I've chosen cata internetional because they offered entertainment and WiFi unfortunately no WiFi on board. If I knew I would haven chosen other company.
Our bus from Santiago to Mendoza was clean, and we were offered drinks and snacks. The bus left on time and had a trouble free run, actually arriving almost 2 hours early. The scenery was great.
Two issues I had were 1. the quality of the snacks and 2. Baggage handlers pressed me for a tip in Mendoza when we had all chipped in to tip them previously. Locals were treated differently
Great scenery and they gave us a sandwich and snacks for breakfast and lunch. The border crossing was painless thanks to a kind passenger who helped us with translation. There is NO English spoken by the staff (this is not a complaint just a comment) so it’s difficult to follow directions without assistance. It’s a 7 hour trip and even with beautiful scenery and comfy seats it’s a big day and tiring. The only stop is the border - no other opportunity to stretch your legs. However it’s well worth doing once 😊
