We departed 40 mins later from Bogota. Then we made another stop at a bogota bus terminal, losing again 20 minutes. After that we stopped for 40(!!) Minutes in Ubagué. We booked a trip of 6h30m to Armenia. In the end we arrived at 17u45, which means it took us almost 9 hours!!! We missed things of this at our destination.
Comfortable bus ride, besides my chair being broken. We couldn’t sit in our allocated seats as someone else was sat in them. Bus turned up over an hour late in Bogotá which meant our whole day was pushed back hours.
Overall it was an okay experience, comfortable seats which is important when travelling for more than 8 hours. Would
The bus drove too fast in a massive rainstorm with incredibly wet roads, there were numerous times when myself and two other passengers we drove with felt unsafe.
He was cornering like a race car.
We arrived an hour and a half early, I’d have rather they drove safely and we arrived on time.
Left a little late, and then arrived 5hrs late!
Also they played music very loudly for the whole journey. Every passenger is given earphones to listen to the entertainment provided, or they prefer to sleep. Playing loud music for the whole journey is really annoying for everyone.
The bus left on time. The seats are just normal seats with a little recline so not very comfortable to sleep in. The aircon was cranking so it can get cold - bring some extra layers. I didn’t sleep at all as I couldn’t get comfortable. Arrived about 2 and a half hours early but that wasn’t an issue for us.
No toilet paper or running water in the washroom which was not clean. Very unhygienic. Staff at window took printed tickets off us and then we had issues when another member of Staff on the bus requested we show them our ticket. Language barrier meant we couldn't communicate what happened.
First off all not being able to use an electronic ticket is extremely frustrating, I'm a backpacker and dont always have access to a printer. Its 2019 I can get on a plane with an e ticket and I dont see why a domestic bus should be any different. Secondly when me and Austin gave the man at the terminal our ticket he thoroughly read it and let us board the bus, but did not give is the ticket that everyone else had. Once we got settled and loaded our bags another man told us we were on the wrong bus and had to get off. Everyone else on the bus could stay and we all had the same e ticket saying 10 pm to Armenia 49000$ . By the time we got everything packed the bus had already begun to move so we stayed on until Armenia. I will also be writing a detailed reveiw on trip advisor of my bus trip.
