Unfortunately due to a long delay in the arrivals hall, I arrived at the bus stop at 12:38 just as the bus was pulling away. The gentleman in the Avanza was very courteous but could not give me a transfer of my ticket to the next bus resulting in a further cost to me. There was no benefit in prepurchasing my ticket
The ride was uneventful but the confirmation was confusing and we left central Malaga for the airport because the ticket said that’s where we left from. We were wrong, it started in central Malaga where we were, then went to the airport and left there for Marbella. So we paid for a cab to the airport unnecessarily.
My ticket from Marbella to San Pedro de Alcantara didn’t include any information about the route (number or the final destination of the route). As far as there were 3 busses departing the same time and no one with my destination as the final destination it was difficult for me to understand hat bus should I get. It was very nervous challenge.
My trip was excellent as usual. My only problem was that my flight was delayed and when I asked the lady in the ticket office if I could transfer my ticket she said no I had to buy a new one. Usually if my flight is delayed the drivers are ok with me using a ticket for an earlier bus. The bus wasn’t full so it shouldn’t have been a problem. That is my only complaint.
Bus arrived in Malaga about 2 minutes late. There were a lot of people waiting. It took about five minutes to get everyone on board. It left Malaga ten minutes late but the traffic was light and we arrived in Marbella on time.
Bus was over 30 minutes late for pickup. USB charging ports did not work. A lot of profanity written on back of seats. Our reserved were seats already being sat in.
Avanza honoured our tickets . we were late for our time schedule but young lady at desk honoured the ticked to be used on next trip .. very good . recommended X
Very efficient bus journey from Malaga Airport to the bus station in Marbella. We ordered our tickets on line only to find when I printed them out that we had also been allocated seats as well.
Very courteous driver, all in all a great service.
It was a bit confusing at the bus station which bus to board! That bus labelled Avanza was not the correct one The bus going to Marbella was incorrect too. We did manage to get on a fast direct bus to Marbella leaving at the correct time but signed to a different destination,
We tried to buy tickets online they said 'error' 3 times when we entered card payment online. Therefore we had to buy hard copy tickets at the bus station which we paid for. When we check our bank account when off the bus, we had been charged for both the online tickets and the hard copy tickets.
Bus was 1 hour late, with no one around to warn us or assure us it was coming. We were late to meet friends in Marbella, and they had to start a tour without us.
Disappointment was at Malaga Bus Station where staff not particularly helpful or knowledgable about which stance our bus was leaving from. Coach was poorly/inaccurately identified and was not from the company from whom we bought our tickets through your company. No toilet on coach despite advertisement.
Excellent. Timetable says last bus from Malaga airport to marbella is 22.45 when in fact there is one at 23.00 which was great as my flight was delayed. Great driver and always a great service every time I use Avanza.
The bus was very comfortable, cheap and convenient. The only prob was that the bus time was 12.30pm. The bus driver was parked a little way off before he pulled up to the bus stop. He was on his phone while on the bus. At 12.25 he pulled up got off the bus and walked away leaving old and young out in the sun for 15 mins. He arrived back at 12.40pm and then proceeded to let us board. While I appreciate a driver needs to use the toilet he had ample time to do this because he was parked at least 20 mins before he pulled up. We left the airport at 12.45pm. I think the doors of the bus should open at 12.30pm as advertised.
Brilliant service, great driver, clean buses. I cannot fault their service. Great value. Would like a couple more buses added later in the evening from Malaga airport please!
The bus driver and staff had no clue what to do, so we had to wait until everyone else was on until we were taken the office to sort things out, by which time our seats were gone. Training needed!
I booked online and that went very quick and easy. However my booking confirmations stated that it should be departing at 11. As per timetable there wasn't any bus scheduled at 11 am so I asked the bus driver 10.30 he said my bus will be the next. Gone 11 no bus shown up at 11.45 there was one bus but driver sent me away as he said its not my booking. There was another bus behind that driver very kindly let me hop on. In that bus there wasn't enough available seat for everyone so many people sent off told that it will have another arriving 20 minutes. They might be overbooked or something but overall this made the journey very stressful as it was very chaotic.
