A bus is a bus, really. I am reviewing to compliment my driver. SO FRIENDLY. SO HELPFUL. Even gave everyone a thorough explanation of the Port Authority upon arrival. Really a great guy!
The bus driver was outside talking with the smokers every time the bus made a stop was not able to see of he was smoking himself. Even when the passenger got off at that stop. Wasting time and talking very unprofessional. Like people have places to be and he’s outside having a full on conversation!
We arrived 3 1/2 hours later than expected. One passenger did not have a seat for the entire 7+ hours we spent on the bus which was dangerous and very uncomfortable to be a part of.
The bus itself was a little rickety, armrests lacking foam padding, windows rattling. All in all though, it did its job-just could use an upgrade, especially for a 5 hour trip.
I got left in Utica. I still have not recovered my bag. The second bus broke down. I waited 2 hours and then took an uber for an hour and a half to reach my destination. I did not get refunded for my hotel I never made it to
Bus was clean, safe and comfortable. Had to change buses at Binghamton onto Coach usa, terrible bus hardly roadworthy and driver was unaware of bus changes
We were told we could not board because there wasn't enough room. I am unsure how they made the determination that the other individuals in line had the right to board. I was stuck in the terminal with a wasted vacation day and disappointed 2 crying children. There wasn't even any compensation for the inconvenience this caused.
Well the bus ride would’ve been on time if some dimwit hadn’t told our bus driver that he needed to take Route 46 all the way to New York instead of getting on route 80. Yes that’s right, our bus driver even had a print out of the directions on how to get to New York given to him by some employee or some manager. Our bus driver himself was a very good driver, safe, calm, friendly and unlike other bus drivers I’ve encountered, he did not talk on his cellphone! However, whoever routed the buses has a screw loose.
Smelly bus, freezing cold and unreasonably late with no updates or assurances from greyhound staff.I had to pay my babysitter to pick my kids up since I didn’t make it home in time. Greyhound is terrible every time I use it and today was no different
The bus left Syracuse late. We didn't receive prior notice. The lady at the station told us (after the departure time) about the delay. Upon leaving Syracuse we were told that the approximate arrival time will be 16:45. The finally arrived at port authority New York at 18:10. We almost missed our flight
There was a 2 hour delay at the station with nobody to say why.
Then roughly 30 minutes into the ride a passenger decided to smoke on the bus, causing up to have to stop and wait for the police to take him away. This added yet anise four to the trip. This was annoying but I give credit to our driver as he handeled it well.
As a 6’4” person, any amount of time in those small seats is uncomfortable so the added time did not help.
The bus was clean and air quality was great. The seats were a little snug and the outlets weren't working even though the bus driver tried to get it to work.
The ride was awesome. The bus was awesome. Great relaxing ride. However. we were supposed,to leave Syracuse at 8:30 and we didn't leave until an hour or more later. The woman at the Syracuse bus station came in at 7:45 and told us to line up. So we stood in line for 2 hours when we could have been relaxing at the tables. And she never let us know the bus was going to be late. For that I give greyhound a thumbs down. Horrible communication. But everything else was great and this was my first time ever taking the bus from Syracuse to NYC.
I wish the seats could be adjusted - I wish they weren't so close to each other. It would be helpful if there were pockets in the back of the seats where some things could be stowed away for the trip.
