I have mixed feelings about my recent trip. On a positive note, the bus itself was fairly new, in good condition, and very comfortable. However, the service was unacceptable. The bus was overbooked, and I had to sit on the stairs from Stutterheim to Queenstown.
When I called the call center to ask why the bus was late, I was told it was due to traffic - which was dishonest, as the delay was actually due to the overbooking. Most disappointing was the driver’s attitude. When I inquired about the situation, he was incredibly rude, telling me that only "educated people with qualifications" at the office knew what was happening. He then coldly stated that if I had a qualification, I’d have my own car and wouldn’t be waiting for a bus.
Mistakes happen, but honesty and basic respect are essential. I hope the company improves its communication and trains its staff to handle frustrations with kindness rather than insults.
