Driver made us wait outside of the yorkdale terminal in the freezing cold while he loaded other passengers luggage (about half of the bus), then finally proceeded to let us on while he did the same to the other half. Everyone was wondering why we were not allowed to board the bus while he was loading others luggage, especially in the cold. My mother and I were stuck at the airport last night (25th december) and unfortunately lost our luggage containing our winter coats, so standing outside for 10 minutes in -10 degree weather was not ideal.
I had a great ride with Northland. The only thing I would recommend is to check if the bus is stopping at every little town. I didn’t know we were stopping at every little town and should’ve known with the length of the trip. In all it was eight hours and after one long flight in the middle of the night this was a tad too long for me. This was something that I should’ve checked before booking.
The ticketing process is extremely poor. The date is not shown anywhere during the process except for in the receipt, and tickets are non refundable, leading to a purchase that I had no way of knowing was incorrect until it was already made, at which point it was exclusively a loss of around $80. Not pleasant. The date should be present anywhere that the time is present.
Bus and driver were fine.the bus was late due to a traffic issue.bus terminal closed at five, people had to find washrooms somewhere if the needed one.winter is coming,it will be unacceptable to have people outside in the cold.
The driver was courteous and drove safely. It was a very good trip. The bus was clean but I could not connect to the wifi, nor could I use the plugs at the seats. None of them worked. It did not detract from the trip though.
Late getting into Sudbury then the driver announced that the terminal was closed 5 min away & we should make arrangements. So we stood in a blizzard waiting for a taxi. Couldn’t the driver have told us sooner so we could make arrangements to be picked up?
We were forced to pull over in Barrie because another bus was having issues. We were not scheduled to stop, and had a completely full bus. There was absolutely nothing we could do do help but we’re still forced to stay. The bus driver also told us to complain because it is simply ridiculous. We sat in Barrie for nearly an hour for no reason.
Because of, I missed my ride and was forced to pay 44 dollars for a taxi.
Thanks for nothing.
The bus arrived on time in Sudbury. However, the terminal was locked while it was freezing cold outside. People waiting for taxis to arrive were freezing. I asked the Greyhound driver to allow us to stay inside the bus while waiting. He did not allow us then he left us in the cold. So much for empathy, compassion, and mercy.
I am greyhound user I booked the bus to Departure at Toronto coach terminal unifotunetely I took the bus to union station and I saw I would get there a little bit late. I decided to call the staffs if they can help me to Departure from Toronto Pearson airport which was closer to me shockingly they say they can't help me with anything except changing the date
