The driver was great 10/10.
5 stars. But the company itself needs better busses because the people in charge can't be bothered to make sure their busses are well properly mechanically maintained. Everyone was getting mad at the driver, its not his fault it's the company in charge. Rider Express head office please do better. The drivers of the bus should Not be blamed.
My bus was delayed by over 4 hours due to mechanical issues, however, the call centre agent rebooted my ticket for tommorow without charge.
Luckily I do not have anything pressing to do tommorow.
Was alittle disappointed in the seating arrangements with travelling with a toddler . No passengers would give up a seat for me to sit with my grandson he was under age and had to sit away from me which people travelling with small children should be able to sit together , he ended up sitting on my laps for the full trip to edmonton . Please consider sitting parents and small toddlers together .
They should reserve the seats whoever booked 2 seats they give them like that so like me i booked two tickets we were not sat together that was just only the problem. Just need seat reservation l.
Didn’t know the route. Wasn’t told where we would stop (exchange drivers, drop off people), made an extra stop for driver (???), no AC, bus was very stuffy and warm, heat in. Driver was asked to turn on AC, for whatever reason didn’t.
It would be better if my ticket showed my arrival in Edmonton in local Edmonton time rather than the time zone of my departure city. My pick up ride ended up waiting almost an hour because of the time difference.
same great service as always travel with them 2/3 times a month and i hate being not in control of the vehicle but I felt ok with the old fella driving
I’ve only taken rider express twice to Edmonton and back but very good for the price and bus drivers were nice and helpful. The only complaint is that the toilet was out of order
Our bus experienced many difficulties on the way but we didn't know what was the problem- it was never communicated to us, leaving several other riders to loudly speculate. I understand vehicle issues, but we were told that the driver tried to reach out but there was no one to address the issue - either new bus or mechanical support - so we would just have to keep moving. Again, this was hearsay as there was no announcement. There were several passengers who were met by secondary drivers meaning we made stops to locate and retrieve their suitcases, but right on the shoulder of the highway. This took 10 to 15 minutes for each stop. I'm sure an hour was added on to our total travel time just for those stops. I wish some sort of decision had been made with a plan to address the transfers without extending the travel time so significantly. It also seemed unsafe- in one case we just left someone standing on the shoulder of the highway as we drove away. I have been happy with service previously and recommended Rider Express, now I'm not so sure.
It is impossible for a bus to travel from Saskatoon to Lloydminster in the scheduled time and consequently arrives in Lloydminister and Edmonton an hour later than scheduled.
The driver gets flack but it is not his fault.
On booking site it was mentioned that we will get amenities like wifi, charging spot, washroom, standard seat but in reality it was a shuttle with 14 passenger seats and no room even to move single foot. Stop making fool of people on the name of amenities, Please!
The bus was so late. I took the bus from Lloyd to Edmonton and had to catch a connecting bus from Edmonton to Calgary but missed it because it was 30 mins late. On the way, the driver received a call that he had to go back to another town we had passed to pick a passenger and that took 40 minutes. Just a waste of time and lack of respect for others time.
The driver was pleasant and the bus was a large newer bus. There was a washroom on the bus and electric outlets available at the seats. Good baggage allowance as well.
this trip was very good in that we had the big motor coach which provided more room. what was annoying was that a passenger was getting let off in Vegervile which isn't a problem, the fact that the driver needed a smoke break in Innisfree 20min before Veg, the had an other quick one in Veg.
